Hello. Here's the amazon link: ND Filter 46mm - amzn.to/3mkbQq8 77mm - amzn.to/3EmC2GW (if you get this ND filter for the 25mm panasonic lens, you'll need to purchase a step down ring to fit) Step Down ring for 77mm to 46mm - amzn.to/3mj7dwn
hi im currently using 60d canon. but planning to move to mft because of stabilization for run and gun shooting on handheld, better sharpness and smaller compact camera easy to carry around. because im tired carrying around the monopod especially during special events like weddings, its kinda took long time to move from monopod to flycam/gimbal. do you think its good? im planning to get g85 that comes with 14-42 kit lens and 25mm 1.7 because thats the only camera with kit that suits my budget. do you think its kinda miss moving from aps-c to mft? since i always love to shoot scene bokeh for more cinematic, i realize that panasonic have 25mm 1.7 but when converting to 35mm focal length and dof do you think its good enough? i dont really mind about autofocus since i prefer manual focus, on gimbal seems no problem as well for autofocus since its able to tap focus or using focus wheel on gimbal. so i would like to know your opinion since im planning to change my camera very soon. thanks
A few things. You're spot on about the compact and stabilization capabilities of the G85. It's an amazing tiny camera that gives sharp images for its price. But everything that you mentioned that you loved like getting bokeh and manual focus is not in the M43 system. 1. The bokeh in the 25mm lens, although is substantial, it isn't any creamier than what you can get with an APC system. The sensor is smaller and the depth of field on the 25mm 1.7 is actually 50mm 3.4. The bokeh balls won't be as big and creamy compared to what you're used to. 2. Manual focus. The 25 mm lens and any panasonic lens has a focusing system called "focus by wire" meaning it's electronic. It's not as accurate as manual linear focusing. But the electronic shutter button focus on the G85 + 25mm is fairly fast and accurate. 3. The 25mm doesn't have len stabilization, meaning the footage you get won't be as smooth. However to compensate for that, the G85 does have IBIS. And if you handle the camera correctly and use some slow motion you can get some fairly smooth shots on the G85 + 25mm combo. Those are the three things you should think about. Other than that, I believe that the G85 with the 25mm + kit lens will bring you a good bang for your buck. Check out more videos about the video capabilities of the camera before you make a decision. :) Thanks for commenting. I hope that was helpful.
Can you please make a video about ND filters, I have not used them before and yet and I like how you explain !!! I just got this 25mm for my Gh5 and there’s too much light and I want to use the correct shutter speed keeping my aperture 1.7
Super late reply, but are you talking about the big sunglasses in front of the lens? If so, that's called an ND filter. And yes that was used when there's too much sunlight.

Hello! Yes they come separate. I bought a 77mm nd filter first then found a step down ring to match the size of my lens. In this case, for the 25mm lens, i bought one that was a rated as a 46mm - 77mm step down ring.
@@FlyByFrancis i get it now, when you said 46mm - 77mm step down ring. The thread on the 25mm lens is 46mm. The ND filter you got is 77mm. Quick question.. why couldn't you have just went with a 46mm ND filter?
I could. But I have 3 other lens of varying sizes. One big one can fit all 3, anything smaller than 77mm is covered. I didnt want to buy multiple ND filters. Saving money.
@@FlyByFrancisas a kid i use to run around in the house and one day i cracked my head open on the corner of our wooden countertop. If your other lens has a higher or lower thread (than 46mm) you'll have to use another step down ring for each lens instead of a different filter?
It stands for electronic stabalization. While regular stablization is created through the movement of the physicial sensor, e-stabilization is created through the camera software.

this has to have been promoted ok it probably wasn't. but i personally own the 25mm lens, and in terms of autofocus it is THE WORST LENSE EVER So down below I unlisted and linked the beginning sequence to a film I'm currently working on. except for the drone shots, it was completely shot on the 25mm. in the scene where he is drinking sitting on the bench and his face slowly comes into view, i was forced to manually focus it and just move into position as he came into focus. 6 tries and both me and the actor was pissed cause this thing would not autofocus right like at all. on top of that, the crop factor is crazy, I'm not sure how this youtuber got his lens to autofocus so well, but when i used it, it was complete trash. I also want to mention that the crop factor of this lens on this body is insanity. very low FOV so if you're shooting your subject, prep to stand further back if you want to get something other than just their face. here is the video mentioned: ua-cam.com/video/vnMGWReHyp0/v-deo.html
Hi! Thanks for watching the video. And yeah it’s not the best lens but it’s pretty great for the price. The bad autofocusing has to do with the camera you’re using. Typically Panasonic/lumix camera and lens combos are not good with autofocusing. And since this type of lens is focus by wire, the ratio for pulling focus isn’t always the same. And yes the FOV for the lens is a 50mm equivalent to a full frame lens. That’s why you have to stand further away from the subject. If you want a wider field of view, consider buying a Laowa 7.5mm lens. Thanks for watching my video! Sorry your lens wasn’t working for you!
Can you share a link for the ND filter pls? Great review bro
