I just went to look at a trailer in someone's woods they said it had a boat on it and we could take it. When we turned the corner there stood 3 wooden Chris crafts 2 rotted beyond repair 1 with an engine still in it. The 3rd we lifted the tarp and it just made us speechless it was beautiful just sitting out under a tarp. Story was her son started working on it but he passed away before he could finish. She wants them all gone. I wish you would want it and give it a life again. The body work has been done the front top is rotted but man it would be beautiful. We are in michigan.
What an always amazing variety of restorations and rebuilds, all at the same time, at the Maritime Classics shop. Wow, really like that very cool Gar Wood Speedster "Loon Magic" 1935 tribute edition (reproduction). Awesome gifted craftsmen, Mike and crew. Thanks for the shop tour and update.

I do, it is a post war stain that is jel that is a match the original that you can get from Lake Oswego Boat Co. You stain the whole boat with that reb mahogany stain. Let it dry and then stain black over the red on the walnut areas. The red and the black together make the correct walnut color.

We are taking the boat with the motor with the hopes of getting the motor to run.

There is a local boat restorer here in British Columbia that is restoring a '55 Chris Craft Cobra also! Pretty rare boat
