Do you have to put a platform under the multi-chamber hideouts? I'm not sure if I have to put a platform under it, if I just pack down the substrate well underneath the hideout (approximately 8" of packed bedding under it). I have a mix of aspen bedding & Kaytee clean & cozy (a little hay too) bedding for the majority of his substrate in his enclosure. He has an area of moss & an area of coconut husk chuncks too, but not where I was going to put his hideout.
@@Melissa.P777 The one I have is very lightweight, but it's always best to put stilts on heavy items🥰
Great idea! I'll look into getting or making some stilts. Thanks for the the prompt reply & ty for your help! He's our 1st hamster and we want his home to be safe. I noticed here in the U.S. we don't have dried sprays, and I'm currently trying to find some online to purchase. Here, the small wire cages are also popular, and we learned quickly that they are way too small & inappropriate for a syrian hamster (or any hamster).
I love watching your videos! They're very helpful. I appreciated the full video rather than a time-lapse video. If viewers want to speed the video up, they can by changing the speed up in the settings. I like real time because I'm new to having a hamster and if it was time-lapsed, I might miss something in the video.

I loved watching this🌿 also loved bear popping out every few minutes like mum what are you doing now? I thought when he popped out, when you was putting the coconut husk near his sand bath that he was just going to turn around,just kick it and it just go flying😂 your setups are amazing🤍x

Thank you! Yes, all of my other cage setup videos are a lot shorter (under 10 mins), I was asked to do a real time one.
You can speed it yourself like I did in settings

how does it take people 1-6 hours lol it takes me about 30 minutes, obviously you have a larger enclosure but idk how people with 100x50cm enclosures take ages
