Makes a strong case for release of the year these clippers. It's finally good to see Andis slowly waking up from their awful slumber and backwardness and actually working with real reputable barbers like yourself and actually making improvements. I've seen another review on YT and the barber was raving about how easy it is to cut with these clippers, and by far the best cordless Andis clipper release. The black edition is a very cool looking unit
let’s gooo!!!! i love the envy’s. gonna buy the fade master blade and buy some purple guards (will be my first time using those guards) really excited to learn with those!
This thing is a fading machine and its still pretty good for bulk. For the price its honestly one of the best clippers you can buy if you swap the blade out to the master blade. And ITS QUIET!
At first glance, these take me back the early 90s when Andis had the original Stylmaster and Speedmaster in their lineup. They were a plastic, less expensive clipper with a blade nearly identical to the Master. Barbers loved it because it cut similar to the Master but the housing rarely got hot. It's still highly revered and sought after today. I still have one that I cut with from "93 until 2015 when I bought my first pair of Magic Clips. Sadly, Andis discontinued it for no reason, then years used the Speedmaster 2 name on a terrible, inferior clipper with a pivot moter to compete with the Fastfeed. I believe the new Andis Faze blades are based on the angle of the Fastfeed blade. I am eager to try these with the Master blades. I wish they made a premium black version because I want the metal lever, ceramic cutter, and charging base, but I'm not a fan of gold.
Awesome review brother. Just one question. Do you need certain screws to put the master blade on the gold clipper. Or do you use the same screws that come on it?
Bro I love your reviews. But that new background feels more corporate. I miss the feel of just feeling like I'm hanging out rather than feeling like I'm at a interview. Not throwing any shade just a preference. Just felt more like "home" before. Anyways good review. Thanks for keeping us informed👌🏾
I’m going to see if there is a replaceable motor and swap out for a higher speed brushless motor. Saw a video somewhere that the black one had about 6k rpm. I do like the andis blade especially the purple guards.
Whats up Mateo!!?? So I think i have the best all time set up loading!! I have the TPOB PLAY with a white ceramic stagger tooth crunch blade (originally on the Magic Clip). And it crunches and sounds amazing. Now I am waiting on the MRD echo still blade. Can you imagine how satisfying that is going to sound!!! Let me know your thoughts brother!!
It’s so cool Andis put that bracket on these! Huge game changer.
Agreed!

It is a beast for that entry level position

And that’s what’s up!
Definitely been looking for a review of these.
They’re solid tools brother!

I remember those, my dad had a pair.
Can the andis master cutting blade be used on these?.. good review by the way
I really admire the full redesign. Are you listen Wahl? Same, same same. Minimal development costs, just a big parts bin and marketing.
Truth!!!
the suprent mecha is a amazing tool i recommend to review, come with taper blade and brushless motor
Got one! Review coming soon

Yes you do have to use master screws.
Would you strictly classify this as an entry level clipper?
Love the content btw
I wouldn’t in terms of quality (it’s better than that) but it’s entry level to the Andis professional brand.

Im still thinking about grabbing these! Great tutorial!!! And did i hear you say you can put the BaByliss Pro mim blade on here!?
I will test, but in theory the holes line up. I’ve gotta try it
@@thewoodshedbarber LMK PLEASE
Thank u❤
You're welcome 😊

Dude just buy the Master 😂
That faze blade with the “wahl style holes” don’t allow u to use wahl guards or purple not even the double magnet style raft guards
That’s one of my main reasons for the changeout
Did you say the FAZE BLADE Can fit on wahl clippers?
Keep pushing for more left handed clippers my guy

Where do you get those echo blades!?
I seen one in AliExpress
I may have to experiment with that some!
Can the Envy 2 use Masters charging dock
No it only fits its own, sorry
What ceramic blade did you put on the black envy’s? I bought the medium cutter and didn’t work out
That one came with the prototype clipper they sent me. I don’t know if it’s being sold separately yet or not
Do wahl guards fit this ? I’ve only gotten the hang of fading as a junior so I’m hesitant to switch things up
They do not but if you switch a Wahl blade on it, it would
@@thewoodshedbarberis it a straight swap no mods needed ?
@@Adam-vt3kr the same screws would be needed
Lol, of course he's gotta discount code. Im def w the upgrades. Loving the blade system. Not sure on price but id prolly pass.
Andis should jump the magic clips with this one
You can’t put the mim or wahl style blades on this clipper
Damn I was gonna buy the gold envy but it's turning me off a bit
Challenge accepted!
How much hair it leave when open with the phat master blade
can you explain the og 0 gaurd to me???
I have a video on that from earlier in the year! Check it out!
Does it fit other Andis charging docks?
No it only uses its own proprietary dock
Nice !!!
Should of seen this before bought the black one thinking they were identical just one didn’t have a stand
Damn
When you put your phat master blade on the Envy, did you push it all the way down or back to get it to tie in with the Andis master 1 blade open?
I push it all the way forward to do what I would call Max gap.
@@thewoodshedbarber word.. that what I did just to get them to tie in to each other. Appreciate that fam..
