When Gaborik was in his prime he was so dangerous offensively. He was always the best skater on the ice and usually had the best shot of anyone on the ice. He put up a lot of goals on a defensive oriented team (Minnesota Wild) all those years. As a Wild fan, I miss him and Brent Burns.
Magical Gaborik! Damn Wilds had a great team that season! Gabby, Demitra, Rolston, Parrish, Bouchard, Johnsson, Burns, Schultz ..Backstrom and Fernandez...thats a SC contedner!

Sadly Gaborik has always been one of those "fragile" players that hardly ever play even majority of a single season due to their tendencies for injury. It was a decent trade, good for both parties.

I hope Minnesota once again become contenders... coming from a Canucks fan too, their fans are among the most loyal US fans, through thick and thin, they deserve better than what they've got from the management for the past few losing seasons.

This was the night I became a Gaborik fan. It didn't matter that I'm a Rangers fan. By the time the game was over, I was rooting for Gabby, despite the fact that he was single handedly spanking my team. I'm glad we got him.
Great to see Gaborik lighting it up this year. 22 goals in only 35 games so far tied for 1st, tied his last season goal total in which it took him 62 GAMES to score 22.
Was this before Marian Gaborik played with the New York Rangers? Good to see Marian Gaborik get a Stanley Cup Ring with the Los Angeles Kings in 2014. He deserved it, but it was just too bad that it did come at the expense of the same Rangers he played with at one time.
it wasn't on tv in minnesota for no real reason... on my way to a friends house i heard something about "gaborik has 5" on the radio, and it tuned out, still in the 3rd period. i called around to see if it was 5 goals or 5 points and i was pumped when i found out it was 5 goals. gabby is the new bure, can't wait until he wins fastest skater in the all-star skill competition
yeah i was at this game, gaborik had a chance to score #6 on a power play late in the game but the rangers' backup goalie made a ridiculous save. still a sweet game!! gaborik is awesome, doesn't get enough credit because he's always hurt.
I think Gaborik is a very underrated player, when hes not having any problems with injure and such stuff hes just as good as the big guys like ovechkin and crosby
gaborik is a king ... i hope he can get over his health issues and return to form... that last goal is his specialty.... intercept the puck near the blue line and speed burst past everyone chasing; then snipe on the waiting goalie
its encouraging that a wild fan feels that way on what i consider a trade that banks on potential instead of proof. the jury is still out on staal, and i think its safe to say that gabbys value has never been lower im still not giving up on this guy, injuries or not he is an absurdly talented player, and i think him and crosby could make marvelous music together as long as its about winning and not just money (of course it was about winning with hossa, who set the gold standard for wingers)
Yeah, Slovakia is in the Central Europe, it is a part of European Union and NATO from 2004. Marian Gaborik is with Marian Hossa the best Slovak players, who plays now in NHL. Gaborik had more injuries, so if dont this, he was the better earlier. GO Marian. I enjoy your game :)
Gaborik is pretty damn good, he always played in the most stiffling defensive system that Jaques Lemaire always employed, never let him run loose once in awhile and never let him pad his stats during a blowout and most importantly was always injured. If he hadn't been injured and played in the open style of the east earlier, he'd of probably had 2 or 3 50+ goal seasons by now, but I think he can now make arun at a few 50 goal seasons with the rangers now, minny really scewed his numbers.
