I wasn't there- I could only afford one day- and I chose another. But this video, and basicly any other performance of this song by this band, gives me goosebumps all the way up my spine. It moves me, like only a couple of songs can.
It's so funny that she's known for the woman that cried... She's a friend of mine. I remember being at this concert, knowing her story, and already getting the chills when they started playing, and then Belinda came on the big screens and I saw her cry and I was almost in tears myself, knowing how much this meant for her. :)
I was there too, and after the teardrop I felt there was a tremendous feeling of "awwwww" going through the crowd. I teared up too. Fortunately enough not on camera.
Radio 3 fm dj Chiel Beelen talked to this woman in a television show about glorious moments at pink pop. She told him that at that moment she hat some problems in her relationship, and the song reminded her of her love. Some time later she married the bloke, and now they are a happy family. Thanks to snowpatrol. Fairytales do exist....
it was such an intense moment, i think he himself was amazed how many people loved this song! he was grinning ear to ear when the whole field started singing, so he didn't hve to ^_^

ik kan me ook nog herinneren dat ik jaren geleden, zaterdag s'avonds naar een t.v programma keek met o.a Chiel Beelen. in dat programma deden ze een poging contact te krijgen met de huilende vrouw. Niet veel later hadden ze die aan de telefoon. Chiel vroeg haar natuurlijk waarom ze toen moest huilen. Ze legde uit dat ze toen relatieproblemen had en het nummer kwam erg dicht bij haar problemen. Chiel was natuurlijk ook nieuwsgierig of het allemaal goed was gekomen. toen kwam er een prachtig antwoord. Aangezien het toen al laat in de avond was lag ze al op bed, maar ze zei tegen Chiel, dat tie heerlijk naast haar lag te slapen en dat het dus allemaal goed is gekomen. Het is en blijft een prachtig moment wat ik heel toevallig gezien heb op t.v
'k zou toch eens graag met deze dame in contact komen om te weten te komen waarom zij in tranen is, ik heb namelijk hetzelfde om mijn eigen persoonlijke redenen en ik ben nog wel een vent :)

I was there and my only time at pink pop before returning to Ireland a few months later, I remember the moment well when she came up on the screen
