I miss Connolly so much. Roland is just WAY WAY WAY too harsh and angry sounding when he plays Jeremy. He's yelling half of his lines instead of singing them. He almost seems obsessed with making his Jeremy distinct from Connolly's, to the detriment of the performance. Or maybe he just can't perform as well as Connolly can and so isn't even trying.

Connolly’s Jeremy definitely had personality; but if you compare Roland’s over-the-top, caricatured version with Connolly’s nuanced version then yeah he must look like he has less personality lol. Connolly’s Jeremy is sweeter and more sympathetic-just comparing both versions of More Than Survive Connolly comes off as more sad and as a relatable frustrated/struggling teenager, whereas Roland is excessively angry and blows his nerdiness out of proportion. On top of yelling and not singing half of his lines, his voice is super nasally and often weak.

both actors are amazing. for general and for jeremy. don't bring one actor down to bring up another. both performed great as jeremy, they have different styles and different ways of portraying their characters.
