- Butter Pecan Cake
1 box Butter Pecan Cake
1 cup water
3/4 cup oil
4 eggs
1 container coconut Pecan Icing
Mix all ingredients together. Pour into bunt pan and bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 55 minutes.

The cake looks delicious but I have to say my favorite was the devotional! I hope that God leads you to do that more often. You are so heart felt and the love and emotions that you feel jump right off the screen. You're right no matter who you are times can be hard. So many think when you have Jesus in your life you are living a Mary Poppins life. LOL Well we know that isn't true at all. BUT we have his PROMISE always that things can get back on track when we listen to him.

Thank you so much for your devotional...my sister just passed away and it is so hard to move on without her. She will not have to suffer any longer. I have prayed many prayers over her and God decided to take her home...knowing and serving God is a true blessing for me. I also believe in reaching out to help someone who may be struggling. And then just to let them know Jesus loves them and is there for them. I am so blessed and those blessings come from him. You have such a beautiful spirit and there is a shining light within. Your devotion really touched me today. Since July 2020, I have been through so much - only child moving 3 hours away, daddy died, mom died, and other difficulties. I want to be happy again. I need to start thinking of others first instead of putting myself first. I want to give God winks to others. Thank you! As for others who wants you to do more devotions, I think it's more important to do what the Holy Spirit leads you to do instead of what the world wants you to do. I love you Leslie. Hey ms. Beautiful❤, well it's just not been the best of week. My son has had his surgery. They kept him to make sure he didn't have a spinal cord leakage, praise the Lord he didn't. During that time they went by asking him questions on pain meds, not looking at his per- op paper work and didn't put a catheter in him so his Blatter split. He's home with that catheter and his staples. Praise God he's getting much better now. Please keep him in your prayers.
Leslie, my Mama made the Butter Pecan Cake and of course I learned to make it from her. I have no idea where she got the recipe but it is good. I try to keep all the ingredients on hand because when you need a good quick dessert that one is it. I also listened to your devotion. You are right on target. We all have hard times but I always say no matter what your situation is there is always something good in it. You may have to look for it but it is there. Back in September I had one of my kidneys removed because of cancer. Cancer is not something you want but the good thing in my situation was that the cancer was contained in the kidney and I didn't have to have any kind of treatment. That was my blessing for which I am grateful.

I haven’t made this cake in a very long time. When I was little my Momma made a butter pecan cake and they made butter pecan icing that went with it. They quit making that icing years ago. My brother and I still talk about that delicious icing. Thanks for the word today. You are a blessing to so many and God will bless you for it. Love you guys!! ❤
Loved the devotion. I have always tried to listen and do. Thank you for being "real" and not only being a Christian but living the way you have been taught. I will have to bake that butter pecan cake. I'm not much of a baker but I don't think I could mess it up. LOL

The cake looks so yummy! God has allowed me to go through a ton of hard things (most were the consequences of my own choices) yet these have taught me to look for the positive in each situation. I don't care how bad things have been, I have always seen some way God has shown His love to me. And when the day comes that you can help someone else going through the same battle by sharing how God guided you, nothing can compare! God is always with you, blessing you!

I just made this for my Bible Study ladies’ lunch, then we had to cancel because of a snow storm that came in during the night, so I invited the guys from our farm for lunch. Can’t wait to slice into it.

I made this cake the same day I watched your video! It was a huge hit with my family!!!
I remember my Aunt Helen making the butter pecan frosting from scratch, too!
I started making this cake after you showed it quite awhile ago. It is a staple in my house now also. I make it with the canned frosting in the mid but top with my aunts homemade pecan frosting on top (very decadent) I’ll have to try the cream cheese frosting.
I also found a recipe from another UA-camr that makes butter pecan cookies with the cake mix. Best cookie’s ever. Really good because not like most cake box cookies.

So many experience down / sad times, especially since the pandemic. Thanks for reminding us to look for the positive and the beauty that god gives us every day. Like this morning, I was sad that we didn’t get the sun that we were suppose to have,then I saw this rescue video of a little girl and her family being rescued from the rubbles of that devastating earthquake. It reminded me to be thankful for every day we are given, with sun, rain or shine and to pray for others are are going through far worse then us.
