I agree for the most part. But I swear if you’re deciding between two stud players, I usually go with the one who’s playing the lower ranked defense against the position. It’s worked very well for me! (I’m open to being wrong if there is data against me but hear me out) Especially with QBs, Kickers, RBs. When deciding between two stud WRs I like to go with the one who think will be in more of a “shoot out” game script. If it’s a higher scoring competitive game there will be more passing and scoring. (Exception: if the WR is going against a top corner like Gardner, that’s a big knock as well and I take that into account) I love streaming QBs and Defenses and Kickers in redraft leagues. It consistently has worked well for me.
I think a better use of your lineup would be to trade one the “studs” away and eliminate the decision altogether. Trading into future picks would eliminate that lineup decision, as well as keeping the draft picks in your pocket to buy in case of injuries or they just increase in value.
The main start sit decision I'm making week 1 is to play Taysom Hill at TE over Luke Musgrave. TE is my weakest position by far, and generally the lowest scoring position in general. I'm well aware there's a good chance Musgrave could outscore Taysom, but they have very similar projections at 6.53 and 6.22 points. However, both those projections are well under any of my other starters' projections. The thing that made my decision is ceiling. Last year Taysom had more boom weeks (he also had more bust weeks), whereas Musgrave was much steadier. Since I don't have much to lose either way, I figure I'd play the guy who's more likely to have a boom week. He's also not a traditional TE and will likely be doing a lot of rushing and he can play QB too, so if he has a boom week it could win it for me, however if he busts it's not likely to lose it for me, especially since the rest of my team is strong.
Why do I feel like he was giving himself a pep talk and reminding himself of his new start sit formula then realized he was recording the whole thing and was like hmm maybe I can just post this as a vid
yeah ppl stress too much - in fact, i let a chrome extension do my initial lineups in every league and i maybe tweak a bit if i want, but that's about it
Nice word usage on the Nostradamus reference. I had to Google that one. This was a good reminder to not stress. Last year I finally decided to bench Pickens the week he scored 2 TDs. It just can't be helped sometimes.
awesome video man, what resources do you use to keep organized with managing a lot of leagues? I used to use a spreadsheet but with the amount of trades I get done it’s a paid to go through each team and update the how each team looks after trades
@@michaelcole8942 I use a spreadsheet as well, but mostly just to track the status of each roster and jot down some notes. I don’t go to the trouble of copying the rosters.
Appreciate all your content and tips! Can I get your quick opinion on a keeper league converting to dynasty? 12T PPR 1QB Start 10. We get to keep 6 players and then doing a fresh start up with all non-kept players and rookies. I’m currently planning to keep AR, Bijan, JJ, GW, McBride. Are you keeping Rice, Dell, Addison or Rhamondre as the 6th?? Thanks!
I made a few trades before my rookie draft and wanted to hear your thoughts on them. I first traded Tyreek Hill for three 1st round picks and a 3rd, then I got offered zay flowers for my second round this year. And then I traded the first I got this year which was the 1.08 and the two thirds I have this year and Zach charbonett for the 1.04 which turned into Malik nabers. I drafted Jayden Daniel’s with the third overall pick. So now my team is Justin Herbert, Jayden Daniel’s, Isaiah Pacheco, James Cook, Derrick Henry, Devante smith, George Pickens, zay flowers, Malik nabers, Jaxon smith-njigba, Dalton Kincaid, and Kyle pitts. I have more depth but they don’t matter too much. 8 man league, ppr, keep 12 players every year. Would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on my moves and team. Thanks
Doing a 12 team 0.5 ppr no TEP superflex start 9 startup draft in a few days. I’m the 12th pick with 3RR. I know all of my league mates personally and have a hunch that Murray and Herbert r going to be available at the 1.12 turn. Taking both sounds like a great option, however I also really want to take Kyler and Marvin Harrison for the stack at the turn and see if I can get lucky with maybe Dack or Goff at the 3RR. What do u think is the right move here under the hypothetical circumstances that both options are available to me at the end of the first round? P.S. this is my first time playing dynasty and all ur vids have been a huge help keep up the great work 🤞
@@hmar7163 I’d have a hard time making the case for Marv over Herbert, especially in 0.5 PPR. I don’t think the stack moves the needle enough for me. Very possible you can get Nabers or even Wilson at 3.01 and I’d like that setup a lot more.
There's not a lot of hype around Herbert right now, his stock is low. You could take Marv and look to trade up to snag Herbert later on. Herbert fell to me at the 3.05 in my recent SF .5 ppr start up. I know long-term Herbert is a great dynasty asset, but he's ranked very low in redraft this year and there's a good chance that causes him to fall even in dynasty

I don't have any data on those specific scenarios, but sounds like a totally viable way to break ties.
