Nah fr i agree with this heavy. And i go out of my way to find the smaller creators because yall tend to be more comp at the game. Its hard out here for the bigs especially this year where they changed up hella stuff
I really liked this video. I play big every year (missed 24) and everything you said is true. I swear people sleep on Shaq centers, some people are moving to the poppers but this is always the way to go. I messed up this year with my first build, agility too low, perimeter too low. This is all great tips bro and agree with all of them
Rhythm Shooting was a Game Changer for me too on my non-Center build. Crazy how much easier it was to time your jump shot once you figured it out. Seems also that your finger keeps that "memory" easier on the stick to shoot than just a button.
Definitely close shot. Alotta badges for close shots this year. 81 standing dunk still gets u contact dunks you don’t need 90 +. Standing dunk meter isn’t like last year, still useable but not “abuseable”
I have a 7’3 max wingspan with a high close shot and standing dunk. There is no contest because the animations I get make it to where I keep the ball away from the defender. I do have Sabonis layup so that probably helps too.
Yo Lev! Thank you for this content. I haven’t played 2K since 2016. You seem like a cool dude. I hope you make it on UA-cam bro I feel like I’m going to be a lot better as a big because of this video I really thank you. It broke my heart when you said I’m only a 75 cause I ain’t got no VC. I hope you were able to level up your player lol. Anyway, thanks for this really helpful video, bro you gained a follower! I hope to see more tips and tricks in the future regarding centers
Any idea how to defend pick and rolls? With new patch everyone seem to be making a lot of 3s when the screen is set and guards get stuck on the screen. What should a center do in that situation?
Definitely just try to step up to guard the shooter but be prepared and quick enough to get back to the big man who will probably be cutting to the basket once you do that
I always used the Right stick to shoot. But the rhythm shooting did make it a little easier to green. Practiced in mycourt but you just have to remember to do it in real game.
77 minimum tbh but you can get away with 70 but rebounds will still go over your head without 77+ I’m 7’1 with a 7’7 wingspan and every single game at least 1 rebound will fly over my finger tips and get caught by the opposing center who’s behind me. 70 instead of 77 was my biggest regret in my first center build. So was investing in offensive rebound instead of defensive rebound. It’s better to 96 DRB + 95 STR and use your first +5 cap breakers for 99 DRB 97 STR and you unlock Legend Rebound chaser and Legend Boxout beast, which will allow you to bully center who only have 80 defensive rebound even without 80+ offensive rebound just based on badges/size/strength
Helpful tips bro! You think they should tweak the interior defense a little. I have 94 block with 83 vert, I’m able to get chase down blocks and help side blocks, but if I’m challenging somebody at the rim i lose that battle more times than often
I just subbed to you I been watching your center vids and they been helping me out for my 2nd 2k… a tip i suggest for you is maybe add UA-cam marks of like where “tip #1 etc” starts if that makes sense. But thanks for the tips
Awesome tips, glad I found your channel. Curious if you shoot post hooks at all and where you think they're at so far. I can't time them without a shot meter this year and it's driving me crazy.
Nice work I have 2 builds a 7'3 no weight 220 high vert really no passing just Finishing and defence yes I get bullied in the box but I do jump crazy high and a 7'1 93 strength good passing but like you said play your way I never shoot unless absolutely have to with a hook or fade 93 close shot 90 post
I only disagree on Perimeter Defense. In my opinion especially in REC as long as you guard the Stretch big he doesn't shoot often :D he is afraid. He doesn't know that you don't have much Perimeter Defense. Hard to put too much points into P Defense.. Interior 82 or 88 is good .. I went with 84 Thanks for the tip with the Real player % for Layups didn't know that.
Also I went with 87 Pass Accuracy to get Dimer on Gold ... but I agree I have around 5 TOs per Game which is too high due to outlet passes. I am still learning how to not get caught up there.
@@Levahr I’m hoping that’s the case, currently on a 7’1 Shaq build 75 overall (I just started it’s my first 2k) with rise up, posterizer and aerial wizard my mans will only layup unless it’s an open basket
@@Levahr I appreciate the response and the content brother because of your build video I made a center this year not perfect or meta but it’s perfect for my play style and I love it 🫡
CAN you do a video where you comment a game play or while playing. I think its the most helpful type of video. There are a lot of video like this but on other games but not not 2k.
I hate that, being I started with a rebounding, blocking 7'. My build works best with shooters. I have got 42 rebounds, 16 was offensive and I got 4 assists
My C is at 72 speed and 60 agility but seems so slow in park and rec, i see you have speed at 64, do smaller C 6'8" to 6'9" with 80-85+ speed run cirlcles around you when you play? I know you match well with ohter bigs your size but speed just kills me!
My speed is 70 on my 7’0 and i keep up with everyone as long as I’m not delayed. Just gotta anticipate the smaller players movements and get there before they do!
No gon cap, something is wrong with the paint defensethis year, cause i got 88 interior and 90 block plus boost, and im still getting laid or people dunking through my body when i jump at em.
Good job being consistent and dropping the content to start the year it’s been hard for me to find center stuff
Nah fr i agree with this heavy. And i go out of my way to find the smaller creators because yall tend to be more comp at the game. Its hard out here for the bigs especially this year where they changed up hella stuff
Make builds to match your play style is huge couldn’t agree more 👊🏼
You’re gonna come up big this 2k my man.

These are all facts. #3 changed my game. Those open looks after an offensive board, even with my silver dimer, are money. Great video bro.
I make big every year, your videos are great bro keep going.

Finally someone I can watch who plays big man! Keep up with the fire content bro! 👊🏼
VahrGang love these videos brodie
Don’t get the board and wait for the camera to turn before passing. Hold A for the outlet pass or just give it to pg who hopefully is showing for you
PGs never show. They thirsty for a easy bucket and sprinting down court. Smh 😂
As a long time centre I love how relevant this video is! Will sub! Thanks for your content!
Preciate the support!
What do you think of the close shot and standing dunk this year? I haven't played center yet this year.
It’s looking op tbh but my 7’0 not even maxed out yet so I’m sure they’re good
Definitely close shot. Alotta badges for close shots this year. 81 standing dunk still gets u contact dunks you don’t need 90 +. Standing dunk meter isn’t like last year, still useable but not “abuseable”
close shot 77 or higher standing dunk 90 or higher buts its about positioning tbh
I have a 7’3 max wingspan with a high close shot and standing dunk. There is no contest because the animations I get make it to where I keep the ball away from the defender. I do have Sabonis layup so that probably helps too.
I put 80 close shoots in my center, I don't know if it will be enough
good job on the vids bro, i like how you explain stuff. Not a whole lot of center content out there atm.
Good video as usual bro bro💪👍

63 vert with 96 OB and 80 DB is enough ? Or i should go to 70 vert as minimum ?
Vertical matters a lot so it’s best to get more of that
77 minimum tbh but you can get away with 70 but rebounds will still go over your head without 77+

Happy to see my boss shining

If someone’s finishing attributes and badges are higher than ya defensive attributes and badges then they’ll mostly win the battle😭
All good points bro 🤙🏿

I don’t shoot post hooks😭best bet is to use a shot meter fasho though, and thanks for the support!
Hey bro I notice a lot of centers don’t put up post control last few years since I started playing I put it up for silver unpluckable is it worth It ?
Yes on my note 7’0 post control is definitely useful and noticeable
@@Levahr thank you for responding .
What do you think about 60 speed? Serviceable?
Possibly but i know me personally i wouldn’t be satisfied
what should i have my layup timeing on
Normal risk

Levarh - prob a stupid question but what camera angle and what zoom/height are you using in rec?
2K Low Zoom 1 Height 9 i think
Drives me nuts when ramdom rec teammates dont mark the perimeter so that I can stay paint
What’s your camera settings on 2k?
2K Low Zoom 1 Height 8

Immoveable enforcer is tied to perimeter big dog. Up it to 62, then +1 the tier 2 to silver
Should I go 7’0 or 7’3 for an inside for the rec?
You’ll be way to slow to switch on anything or get down court at 7,3
6,,11 make em stronger he’ll be faster but if speed dont matter go 7 feet
7’0. 7’3 too slow for everything
In the right hands 7’3 is godly. But don’t make a 7’3 I want to continue shooting over everyone in rec lol.
Need some tips on getting more blocks
Oh is not using dunk meter when I’m posted up why I keep just doing layups when under rim instead of actually dunking?
May need higher badges or attributes for it
@@Levahr I’m hoping that’s the case, currently on a 7’1 Shaq build 75 overall (I just started it’s my first 2k) with rise up, posterizer and aerial wizard my mans will only layup unless it’s an open basket

Offensive

Anything on Pick and Roll defense as a center would be crucial. Randoms dont switch in rec bruh lol
Gd vid. Btw, whats your free throw for your C?
Thank you, and it’s around 75-80
@@Levahr oh my bad I meant which animation you equipped?
I feel like standing dunk isn’t as viable this year, even if you’re under the rim and the big is kind of out of position
I get a lot of standing dunks. Just need the right attributes and badges
Go 96 standing the cap breaker to 99
You right about the outlet pass, my center have a 80 pass and I still can't do a outlet passes.
@@4333576 I have 89 pass acc, I barely get turnovers off my outlet passes bro
They made pass acc matter this year. I had an 82 and made another build with 89 and it’s way better. Night and day

I messed up my very for the 3rd straight year I suck🤦
87 pass can be useful bro, just watch the passes. Steal spammers get anything on this game.
