Today I thrift shop for designer and luxury inspired Home Decor. Love Shack Fancy is such a beautiful and romantic homeware and clothing line, I absolutely love! I find two Wedgewood platters that mimic the style perfectly.

My mom and I used to do that, go through closets together, one would sit on the bed. moms been gone for years now and I really miss those times alot, she was my wing woman and I was hers, those were the days. I know you appreciate yours with mom, they go by fast believe me.❤
Drapes look so romantic in your darling Victorian dressing room. I try to think of different window treatments but haven't for a long time. At 73 , not as enthusiastic as I use to be. Have gone back to redoing thrifted things, though, and painting on canvas. Thanks for sharing especially trips with mom. I miss mine

I have a set of 3 square vintage tables like you showed, I love the natural oak wood & wicker on mine however I think I may have to bring them out and get busy on a new color!! (They have brass on them, at the corners, so I don't know how white would look??)

I’ve discovered your channel a few months ago and I’m so glad I did! It’s such a joy seeing someone who likes to thrift as well, with similar tastes! You’re so fortunate that you get to thrift shop with your mom, since my mom hated collecting antiques, or saving things. She would tell me I don’t like someone else’s junk.
It wasn’t until later on in life, I realised she saved me things of hers she knew I liked ( her opal ring, flour sifter ( had a cherry pattern on it ) and an old glass bowl with handles, which is a light mint green colour with a rose pattern on it.
I am lucky enough to have a friend who likes to shop and repurpose vintage jewellery! Found out by accident, by commenting on her earrings, and said she collects and repurposes vintage jewellery! So made a vintage jewellery date to go shop for it!
Just wanted to say love, love, love your new curtains! Love the colour, pattern and fabric!

Stop wishing start thrifting - luv that saying. I always say to my friends before you buy take a look at the charity shop first because for sure you’ll find it eventually if you’re not in a hurry.
Actually, I thrifted my drapes - for FREE!! On Marketplace - two Christmas's ago. I live on Long Island in NY - our North Shore is Gatsby Country - very old and expensive homes where I often find the very best stuff. Well, this young family living in a completely renovated Victorian posted that they were redecorating and changing their drapes. The old ones were a beautiful ivory silk with a very Victorian pattern in a mustard gold. I got right in touch and she said they were available. She told me they were custom made and she told me the name of the shop that made them - which I knew very well. I told her I was on my way! When I arrived, two huge black contractor bags were sitting in the foyer for me. They are 120 inches long - the house had 12 foot ceilings. We were supposed to move so I just put them away for out new home. Our plans got delayed and we are still in the same house - where I don't need the drapes. So they are stored away. The really great part is that because they are ten feet long, I will probably end up restyling them when the time comes. I may even have enough fabric to do a small chair to match! Knowing the shop where they came from, I imagine they cost over a thousand dollars. And they are like new! One of my best freebie finds ever!

When custom drapes are made, they have weights in the bottom, and that "whipstich" down the side is done with a special industrial hemmer that has a large curved needle, my mom had one and did custom drapes for interior designers. You have quality drapes, and the fabric would have been expensive too.

Beautiful drapery! Just a thought: if you extend the rods out so that the curtains only cover the side edges of the French doors, it will give the optical illusion that the doors are much wider while letting in more light. And if you put a couple of the curtain ring on the other side of the corbels, it will hold the curtains in place as you open and close them. What a gorgeous room!!
Me too. That’s what I did to give the impression that the window/door was much larger.

I thrift anything I can find that is useful or needed. Our area has a unlimited pickup 2 times a year and I just found over 8 pair of very expensive blackout curtains and a few of other colors. It never fails to amaze me what people will set out to trash. This year I picked up leather jackets,fur coat brand new wool sweaters home decor with tags ranging from 40.00-100.00. Everything in new or great shape.
