La escena donde James se arrodilla creo que correspondería más a lo que sucede en el segundo enfrentamiento con Pyramid Head, antes de llegar con Mary. Pero de igual forma muy buena compartiva.
I would've wished a remake of the first one, the second should've followed logically. My only disappointment is James' face he looked mysterious in the original version while in the remake he feels older and beaten

@@knivesron static cameras are a thing that was rarely ever utilized properly. I think they do work well if used for specific angles in a horror property or a cinematic experience, but for most games they kinda just swing and miss. I think its nostalgia that gets to fans of the old resident evil games. Dont get me wrong, the remakes did sound design and music so wrong. But they did well at accurately translating the gameplay of a pretty aged fixed camera to a really good third person shooter.
I just think it needs texture. The grain overlay of the OG seems to really add a lot to the realism, even with such limited graphics - it's without the overlay that the little bits of jank get distracting. I hope that there's an option for a texture overlay when the game comes out, it would be cool.

Quizá al principio del juego cuando se toca la cara es un poco extraño que tenga ese gesto de sufrimiento. Pero mas adelante, con todos los horrores que va siendo testigo me gusta mucho que tenga esas expresiones. Le tengo mucha fe a este remake.

Not sure I’m entirely convinced that the new fog effects are an improvement. I’ve been in really thick sea fog and mountain fog. To my mind fog seems eerie because (like the original graphics) it literally is featureless and turns the world into unnaturally smooth layers, the world simply fades into whiteness. There’s a strange sense of both claustrophobia (because it limits you to a visible bubble only a few feet wide) and a feeling of being lost in an immense expanses of nothingness. These new effects make it look like 3D billowing smoke and the wider cityscape is clearly visible through it. Which is cool in its own way, but a very different aesthetic.

It doesn't really matter about technical limitations, some cgi, film, game from 2000s era still hold up pretty well! Lo que mas me ha llamado la atención más allá de sus mejoras gráficas más que evidentes, son sus expresiones faciales!! en un juego de terror claustrofóbico es indispensable que los gestos de los personajes nos tramitan su miedo y ansiedad, y por lo visto lo han conseguido. Hay muchas ganas aunque en mi series X tendré que esperar como buen calamar 🦑
Lo bueno de esperar es que probablemente tengas las versión más pulida y trabajada. Todos los bugs resueltos, capaz algún contenido añadido y cerca de un año de puro testeo para que el juego corra bien en esa plataforma
The thing is, old games naturally looked more twisted once you found out the backstory. Newer James just feels like a generic Hollywood main character.
El realismo y expresiones del protagonista me encantan, puedes sentir su angustia. No obstante el diseño de algunos monstruos hace que se vean menos terroríficos.
la escena donde esta con la soga, si no mal recuerdo en el juego original es un puzzle en una carcel, pero en el trailer del remake se ve que esta lloviendo, pero eso es raro ya que el puzzle es bajo techo, asi que no se si sera una nueva escena donde james trate de suicidarse o cambiaron un poco el escenario edit: algunas cosas que me gustaron fue el re diseño de james, su cara que se ve mas expresiva y se ve que esta sufriendo y tambien que en la escena del baño, en su dedo se nota la marca de un anillo, como si se lo hubiera sacado recien
El nuevo remake Mola demasiado Debemos recorder que el trailer los graficos pueden observarse diferente pero todo esta hermoso , esperamos con ansias la llegada de esta obra maestra
La ultima escena en la que James grita y se arrodilla es la del final del juego cuando enfrente a los Red Pyramid Things, de ahi el fondo rojo y oscuro y la impotencia en la cara de James por lo que vio.

Ya veremos como resulta este Remake porque de Bloober Team ya no confío nada (Blair Witch y The Medium fueron un timo), al menos supongo que Konami estuvo supervisando dicho desarrollo y no les dejaron tomar malas decisiones o hacer una mediocridad. También pienso que tanto Masahiro como Yamaoka decidieron trabajar en esta entrega porque lo vieron como el renacer de la saga y jamás participarían en un mal Remake, pensando así puedo tener algo de paz ya que si resulta ser un lastre... entonces sería uno de los mayores desastres en esta industria porque el Silent Hill 2 original es una obra maestra. PD: Gráficamente está impresionante pero se cargaron el misterio y sutileza de James cuando se mira en el espejo, ojalá no tenga más cambios abruptos porque mataría la escencia del original cuando un Remake debe de mejorar esto y no arruinarlo por completo.

I think Bloober added a little hint in The Medium about Silent Hill 2, if you go to the far left side as you get to the Niwa resort parking area outside the building and before you go in there is a lonely car with a map inside just like in SH2's beginning when you take control of James. I always loved that it could be an easter egg but now I think maybe it was a hint.

Ya que Sony pago la exclusividad por un tiempo es bastante probable que esten metidos en el desarrollo del juego al menos manteniendo un estándar de calidad
El original tiene un encanto que el remake no puede igualar ni siquiera con los buenos gráficos, es como esa atmósfera opresiva y los monstruos de piel más ceniza... Con esos pequeños cambios creo que sería un remake perfecto.
Envoirment: In the original, the room is dirty/unorganised, dark. The unlit envoirment makes ithighly intense, personal/unsettling. In the remake, the room is less dirty and cluttered, dirty isolating and more clean. Lighting is more balanced natural/realistic, it casts his face obscuring him and making him appear more gaunt sickly thin. Expressions look less subtle than in the original version, he seems more difficult to read due to the heavy lighting shade. He appears more disassociated from his surroundings; looking past the mirror and his reflection in it, his hand runs down his face in a much more unsettling way; all though he is disconnected from reality. He steps tentatively backwards, the lighting illuminating his face; showing that his eyes were closed. In the remake, the lighting is more illuminating/overcast, unrealistic. Making him look more normal/healthy. Due to the change in lighting, his expression is made more readable; it is always much more obvious giving him a fearful expression like he is scared by his surroundings, in the original it's more his mind. He no longer appears to be disassociated from his surroundings, making eye contact. Don't get me started on the cinematography... angles are less uneven, camera is less stilted, focal point is wrong The sound design also, less quite spacial more loud annoying
@@Lofirainbowsin my opinion I do think that the remake can be very scary and atmospheric, not only because of the graphics but also because of the atmosphere they are creating, the images leaked before the announcement seemed to be very promising in several aspects in addition to the scenarios, they may indeed have levels of very good details to create the disturbing atmosphere, I've always seen jame as a sad, depressed person with an ass face, in the original he always has a normal face, it's not like he's disconnected it's like he looks like a super hero in the middle of melancholy, something that doesn't make sense to me, also in several moments he acts with a face like an ass, it could have been because it was the first konami game on the ps2, about the facial expressions I don't think they are exaggerated because the situations compared in the original in my head make a lot of sense, motoi okamoto he said that it was deliberate to put "bombastic" scenes in the trailer and that james will be more subtle in a good part of the game, about the sound they could have put it only in the trailer , the music will probably be good. me encanto en muchas cosas las expresiones faciales, las iluminaciones en algunas zonas, los reflejos pero hay algunas cositas que no cuadran mucho pero bueno no es lo mismo comparar algo que ya salió hace 20 años y el de ahora ha mejorado mucho pero le hace falta un poco mas la esencia principal del juego en si
En la producción de sh2 se nota que los actores tienen excelentes expresiones que se pierden cuando pasa al motor de juego, ahora sí se podrá transmitir esas sensaciones, espero que este remake vaya más allá del juego original porque la verdad sh2 es un juego corto comparándolo con sh1, ojalá se pueda explorar más el pueblo.
Pero estas equivocado, el juego orginal no tiene Motion capture, las expresiones fueron hechas a mano por Sato. En realidad, James no debería sobreactuar como lo hace en este teaser. James casi no muestra emociones hasta más adelantado en el juego. El está complemente desconectado de la realidad, no me pareció una buena decisión por parte de Bloober.

Es justamente como escapa de la realidad y la culpa lo que le dan personalidad rara y psicótica. está sobreactuado este teaser, en su defensa muestran escenas dónde James más se abre en el juego, pero espero que mantengan a ese James perdido, desconectado de la realidad, con amnesia.
seguramente acortan la segunda parte cuando hay que recorrer los mismos mapas. O agregan algun mapa nuevo para variar. En cuanto historia lo considero el mejor. Y mejoras le pueden hacer muchas. Ojala hagan remake de los 4 primeros.
Creo que muchos me odiaran por esto pero las expresiones faciales de James considero que no deberian ser tan marcadas y expresivas como se ven en este trailer, creo que parte de lo perturbante del inicio del juego original es el hecho de que James sabe que hay algo absolutamente mal detras de la carta de Mary sin embargo el esta inexpresivo, completamente con sus emociones exprimidas y sin nada mas que perder y dando al jugador una sensacion de incomodidad enorme. En cambio en el remake cuando ve su reflejo en el espejo se ve angustiado, cansado, atormentado como que va a soltar en llanto en cualquier momento, cambiando un poco a mi consideración el mood del juego. Habria que esperar a ver mas contenido del juego, pero de momento eso no me termina de agradar.
Hay algo que en la primer escena no se compara con el remake y eso es el claroscuro, cosa que en el nuevo no se puede replicar o no lo han intentado hacer. Además el gesto de la mano de James al pasar su mano delante de su rostro, como si dudara de que lo que está sucediendo es la realidad, no da a entender lo mismo en el remake. Más bien es como que se está mirando al espejo a ver si no tiene un vello largo en el rostro. No sé, es lo que sentí al ver la comparativa 🤔.
Si con claro oscuro te referís a los límites de la tecnología de ese tiempo, comparado a lo que se logra con Lumen al dar una iluminación completamente realista y en tiempo real... No hate, en serio, pero esa escena en el remake se ve hermosa. Lo de la mano frente a la cara si me parece un cambio totalmente innecesario, le quita el mood al momento.
Igual me agrada más la paleta de colores del original. Me da escalofríos, frío y depresión sólo ver esa escena. El remake luce increíble, pero aún así específicamente en esa escena me quedo con el original.
Looking at the comment section most people are not okay with the remake. For whatever reason. In my opinion it looks absolutely amazing. From atmosphere from the character models. Looks great.
What a fail they butchered James voice, the art style now looks like a generic big budget American horror set instead of a rundown working class town, the hole thing looks like a fan made trailer made in Unreal which is funny and the bloody hubris of Bloober Team thinking they can out do the original game it's another trip back to Silent Hill with people in charge who have no respect for the series and don't even understand the original games.
It looks amazing. Idk why people are worried that much, in the original James looks as if hes smiling all the time which breaks the emotions. In the Remake he looks way more emotional.
Lo que no me gusta del remake, son las enfermeras, que deberian tener medias largas de color blanco y no negras, tambien deberian hacer su diseño algo mas grotesco, porque el punto es que me provoquen terror y no que me provoquen en otro sentido.
ahora bien, en mi opinion, el que necesitaba remake era SH1, los demas estaban bien con un buen remaster disponible a las masas para que se acabe la especulacion de precios en linea.
The gameplay shown as the original Silent Hill 2 isn’t actually from native PC version, it’s actually from the fan enhanced PC version. Every texture, and every lighting effect has been redone, or enhanced by the modding community, including the new widescreen aspect ratio. There are even some player model polygon increases. Those updates make the original PC version look much cleaner than it used to look. The Silent Hill Remake looks absolutely amazing, and even without the fan updates to the original game, despite being made with the PS2 in mind, it’s held up very well.
The remake looks pretty good. I'm going to wait till these remakes go down in price though. My only critique on the remake is that James's stare looked more cold, distant and numb in the original which is awesome because he's actually the killer in the original. The remake makes him look more depressed and sad.
anybody else besides me thinks the original SH2 still holds up after all these years? I mean, yeah, sure, the PS5 has great graphics and all but, for a PS2, the original still looks very nice indeed.

7:08 esas no son las mismas escenas. La escena del remake es en la ultima pelea con los dos pyramid head cuando James grita ''leave us of both the hell alone'' y pyramid head mata a maria por la millonesima vez entonces el tipo se tira al suelo de rodillas y empieza con el monologo dandose cuenta que imagino a pyramid head como un castigador por sus pecados y empieza la pelea.
Looks good, I’m just hoping it’s as dark and scary as the original. Also that we have the same levels and monsters as the original did and they don’t cut any of it out like they did for Resident Evil 3. It being a remake maybe we’ll get a few more monsters and a bigger city than the original tho, that’ll be cool to explore. Also having the same background music while playing would be a nice touch as well.

En mi caso todo lo contrario, no me gusto que sea tan expresivo cuando se mira en el espejo, en el viejo te da la sensacion de estar perdido, pensativo, dudando de su propia existencia, en este lo han hecho muy triste pero bueno, tampoco es que sea tan malo
Quizá al principio del juego cuando se toca la cara es un poco extraño que tenga ese gesto de sufrimiento. Pero mas adelante, con todos los horrores que va siendo testigo me gusta mucho que tenga esas expresiones. Le tengo mucha fe a este remake.

To my mind fog seems eerie because (like the original graphics) it literally is featureless and turns the world into unnaturally smooth layers, the world simply fades into whiteness.
There’s a strange sense of both claustrophobia (because it limits you to a visible bubble only a few feet wide) and a feeling of being lost in an immense expanses of nothingness.
These new effects make it look like 3D billowing smoke and the wider cityscape is clearly visible through it.
Which is cool in its own way, but a very different aesthetic.

The trail of once wearing a ring on Jame's ring finger is an awesome detail beyond my expectation of game remake.
The thing is, old games naturally looked more twisted once you found out the backstory. Newer James just feels like a generic Hollywood main character.

la escena donde esta con la soga, si no mal recuerdo en el juego original es un puzzle en una carcel, pero en el trailer del remake se ve que esta lloviendo, pero eso es raro ya que el puzzle es bajo techo, asi que no se si sera una nueva escena donde james trate de suicidarse o cambiaron un poco el escenario
edit: algunas cosas que me gustaron fue el re diseño de james, su cara que se ve mas expresiva y se ve que esta sufriendo y tambien que en la escena del baño, en su dedo se nota la marca de un anillo, como si se lo hubiera sacado recien

Ya veremos como resulta este Remake porque de Bloober Team ya no confío nada (Blair Witch y The Medium fueron un timo), al menos supongo que Konami estuvo supervisando dicho desarrollo y no les dejaron tomar malas decisiones o hacer una mediocridad.
También pienso que tanto Masahiro como Yamaoka decidieron trabajar en esta entrega porque lo vieron como el renacer de la saga y jamás participarían en un mal Remake, pensando así puedo tener algo de paz ya que si resulta ser un lastre... entonces sería uno de los mayores desastres en esta industria porque el Silent Hill 2 original es una obra maestra.
PD: Gráficamente está impresionante pero se cargaron el misterio y sutileza de James cuando se mira en el espejo, ojalá no tenga más cambios abruptos porque mataría la escencia del original cuando un Remake debe de mejorar esto y no arruinarlo por completo.

I think Bloober added a little hint in The Medium about Silent Hill 2, if you go to the far left side as you get to the Niwa resort parking area outside the building and before you go in there is a lonely car with a map inside just like in SH2's beginning when you take control of James. I always loved that it could be an easter egg but now I think maybe it was a hint.
Visually the remake does look stunning, I just hope Bloober team haven't messed with the story.

Yo entiendo que el juego preocupe porque The Medium es un poco mojón, pero ostia, no se ve mal, yo de momento lo veo perfecto.
Ya que Sony pago la exclusividad por un tiempo es bastante probable que esten metidos en el desarrollo del juego al menos manteniendo un estándar de calidad
El original tiene un encanto que el remake no puede igualar ni siquiera con los buenos gráficos, es como esa atmósfera opresiva y los monstruos de piel más ceniza... Con esos pequeños cambios creo que sería un remake perfecto.

Envoirment: In the original, the room is dirty/unorganised, dark. The unlit envoirment makes ithighly intense, personal/unsettling.
In the remake, the room is less dirty and cluttered, dirty isolating and more clean.
Lighting is more balanced natural/realistic, it casts his face obscuring him and making him appear more gaunt sickly thin. Expressions look less subtle than in the original version, he seems more difficult to read due to the heavy lighting shade. He appears more disassociated from his surroundings; looking past the mirror and his reflection in it, his hand runs down his face in a much more unsettling way; all though he is disconnected from reality. He steps tentatively backwards, the lighting illuminating his face; showing that his eyes were closed.
In the remake, the lighting is more illuminating/overcast, unrealistic. Making him look more normal/healthy. Due to the change in lighting, his expression is made more readable; it is always much more obvious giving him a fearful expression like he is scared by his surroundings, in the original it's more his mind. He no longer appears to be disassociated from his surroundings, making eye contact.
Don't get me started on the cinematography... angles are less uneven, camera is less stilted, focal point is wrong
The sound design also, less quite spacial more loud annoying

me encanto en muchas cosas las expresiones faciales, las iluminaciones en algunas zonas, los reflejos pero hay algunas cositas que no cuadran mucho pero bueno no es lo mismo comparar algo que ya salió hace 20 años y el de ahora ha mejorado mucho pero le hace falta un poco mas la esencia principal del juego en si
algo que deben admitir es que a pesar de los años, le pusieron bastante realismo a las escenas, el cambio de texturas se nota pero no es abismal

En la producción de sh2 se nota que los actores tienen excelentes expresiones que se pierden cuando pasa al motor de juego, ahora sí se podrá transmitir esas sensaciones, espero que este remake vaya más allá del juego original porque la verdad sh2 es un juego corto comparándolo con sh1, ojalá se pueda explorar más el pueblo.
Pero estas equivocado, el juego orginal no tiene Motion capture, las expresiones fueron hechas a mano por Sato. En realidad, James no debería sobreactuar como lo hace en este teaser. James casi no muestra emociones hasta más adelantado en el juego. El está complemente desconectado de la realidad, no me pareció una buena decisión por parte de Bloober.

Es justamente como escapa de la realidad y la culpa lo que le dan personalidad rara y psicótica. está sobreactuado este teaser, en su defensa muestran escenas dónde James más se abre en el juego, pero espero que mantengan a ese James perdido, desconectado de la realidad, con amnesia.

Creo que muchos me odiaran por esto pero las expresiones faciales de James considero que no deberian ser tan marcadas y expresivas como se ven en este trailer, creo que parte de lo perturbante del inicio del juego original es el hecho de que James sabe que hay algo absolutamente mal detras de la carta de Mary sin embargo el esta inexpresivo, completamente con sus emociones exprimidas y sin nada mas que perder y dando al jugador una sensacion de incomodidad enorme.
En cambio en el remake cuando ve su reflejo en el espejo se ve angustiado, cansado, atormentado como que va a soltar en llanto en cualquier momento, cambiando un poco a mi consideración el mood del juego.
Habria que esperar a ver mas contenido del juego, pero de momento eso no me termina de agradar.
Hay algo que en la primer escena no se compara con el remake y eso es el claroscuro, cosa que en el nuevo no se puede replicar o no lo han intentado hacer. Además el gesto de la mano de James al pasar su mano delante de su rostro, como si dudara de que lo que está sucediendo es la realidad, no da a entender lo mismo en el remake. Más bien es como que se está mirando al espejo a ver si no tiene un vello largo en el rostro. No sé, es lo que sentí al ver la comparativa 🤔.
Si con claro oscuro te referís a los límites de la tecnología de ese tiempo, comparado a lo que se logra con Lumen al dar una iluminación completamente realista y en tiempo real... No hate, en serio, pero esa escena en el remake se ve hermosa. Lo de la mano frente a la cara si me parece un cambio totalmente innecesario, le quita el mood al momento.

What a fail they butchered James voice, the art style now looks like a generic big budget American horror set instead of a rundown working class town, the hole thing looks like a fan made trailer made in Unreal which is funny and the bloody hubris of Bloober Team thinking they can out do the original game it's another trip back to Silent Hill with people in charge who have no respect for the series and don't even understand the original games.

ahora bien, en mi opinion, el que necesitaba remake era SH1, los demas estaban bien con un buen remaster disponible a las masas para que se acabe la especulacion de precios en linea.
The gameplay shown as the original Silent Hill 2 isn’t actually from native PC version, it’s actually from the fan enhanced PC version. Every texture, and every lighting effect has been redone, or enhanced by the modding community, including the new widescreen aspect ratio. There are even some player model polygon increases. Those updates make the original PC version look much cleaner than it used to look. The Silent Hill Remake looks absolutely amazing, and even without the fan updates to the original game, despite being made with the PS2 in mind, it’s held up very well.

The remake looks pretty good. I'm going to wait till these remakes go down in price though. My only critique on the remake is that James's stare looked more cold, distant and numb in the original which is awesome because he's actually the killer in the original. The remake makes him look more depressed and sad.

La escena del remake es en la ultima pelea con los dos pyramid head cuando James grita ''leave us of both the hell alone'' y pyramid head mata a maria por la millonesima vez entonces el tipo se tira al suelo de rodillas y empieza con el monologo dandose cuenta que imagino a pyramid head como un castigador por sus pecados y empieza la pelea.

Looks good, I’m just hoping it’s as dark and scary as the original. Also that we have the same levels and monsters as the original did and they don’t cut any of it out like they did for Resident Evil 3. It being a remake maybe we’ll get a few more monsters and a bigger city than the original tho, that’ll be cool to explore. Also having the same background music while playing would be a nice touch as well.
