Gazza was a great player, injuries really stopped him in the long run, great talent though for sure, and people forget he was such a big game player
I just love Gazza. He is my all time favourite player, and what a personality... Imagine what he could have accomplished without injuries... ❤️❤️❤️
Why is all the video footage on these videos mirrored rather than being the original angle?. This was most noticeable with the classic England goal, as he scored that from the left of the box.
Enjoy watching your reactions on these videos though, with the regard to the hype around Gazza, at the time things were different without social media so until after Italia 90 Gazza wasn't that hyped but at the time I had heard he was good and the public loved him. We just didn't get to see many of these goals/moments at the time unless you were lucky to see it live or catched tv highlights. It was brilliant watching him during his days with Lazio and showing he could hold his own with the world's best players.

Honestly the best England squad I think I have seen was 02, but there is no doubt the current crop are good, we have a chance for sure, not sure Southgate is the guy though
We could've had a decent chance in 92, Taylor wasn't really the man for the job and we faltered as a result. I think we've been incredibly fortuitous in the last couple of tournaments, the performances have been pretty poor. The fact that we squandered that final against an aging, mediocre Italian side on home soil speaks volumes. WC 2018 was another example of a perfectly winnable game, against the Croats, being thrown away by half arsed performances and a tactically inept manager. My honest feeling is the next tournament will be where the wheels come off for Southgate and we absolutely choke. I'm curious how old you are if you think 02 was our best squad, if was painfully average. The 96,98,00,04 squads were all far superior to that.
Best English player for 50 years. Rooney, Beckham, Gerrard not a patch on him

I really feel old now!😂 my best memories of Gazza were playing for Rangers with Brian Laudrup amongst others. I definitely prefer watching Brian rather than the more accomplished Michael.
I can think of a ton on par but Gazza was still superb - such a character. Peter Beardsley, at his peak, was another English player of this era whose style differed fundamentally from a typical English footballer.
Waddle and Hoddle also.
Brilliant player but his career never really recovered after his injury in 91.
His drinking probably didn't help either.
