Amagi was an Unryū-class aircraft carrier built for the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. The ship capsized in July 1945 after being hit multiple times during airstrikes by American carrier aircraft while moored at Kure Naval Base. Amagi was refloated in 1946 and scrapped later that year.

indeed, the hardest part is when you have to destroy the ship.

I appreciate that you showed the mistake. Everybody makes mistakes, that is how we learn. Because you showed your mistake, others can learn from it - thank you.
I agree, this is great, too many model makers literally only show perfection, I feel like this give me hope of screwing up and it being ok.

Note: this is not the 1920s battlecruiser Amagi, whose sister ship Akagi was turned into an aircraft carrier. This is the second ship of the Unryū class carriers of the 1940s.
Why the unfinished Amagi is so popular tho? Kinda weird imo
@@anonymousstout4759 i think it's cause of world of warship
@@faroria6054 yeah they added the amagi battle ship not the carrier
@@juliaslavova9672 and the ship was very popular among players (and stil is)
As a fellow (significantly less experienced) modeler, I understand the absolute misery and general feeling of defeat upon finding your model ruined, especially after spending so much time assembling and painstakingly painting/weathering the model. I admire and respect your resolve to repair and finish the diorama nonetheless, resulting in a great work of art despite the mistake.
Very good, great work!
It turned out beautifully, the warping through heat of the prop shafts etc are of no real consequence, looking through a surface like this naturally distorts objects, It was fantastic that you showed your error, and just as fantastic how you rescued the diorama from the effects of it. I'd have gone bezerk and threw the whole thing against the wall, you'd have heard my swearing from the moon! . Well done, and thank you.
Even before all of the repair work i thought it still looked amazing but the fact you actually spend the time too turn this from a screw up that anyone could of made into something absolutely breath taking is just wow.. thank you seeing this has actually given me inspiration too continue my 1/700 scale naval dock yard (it will have ships from Japan America Britain Germany ect in it )
The fact that you were able to save the diorama is very impressive. It looks amazing.
Nice rescue mission on the resin issue. Looks great.
Man, this was an emotional rollercoaster - from making the actual ship as it should be (yay! Cool camo!) to starting sculpting the hull when the ship was done (wtf? For real?), fixing that (oh, nice), to modelling the battle damage (really? NOW?), adding those nice little pipe details (damn, to think of that...) and then... the pour, and I saw the mistake from miles away. But to manage to salvage that was pretty damn inspiring. Personally, I would have broken down in tears had that happened to me..
Amazing build and recovery, have to admit i almost stopped playing video when i saw the finished model and you started to destroy it lol. Now subbed and look forward to more builds, thank you.
Great model video with high technique. The repairing demonstration has a very leading operation of the art. Perfect instruction.
Despite the error with the resin, the result looks awesome, congratulations
It’s ok we all learn from mistakes, can’t wait for your next build!
One thing I have learned from watching Nick Zammetti's and Ben Worx's UA-cam videos is that resin get hot as it cures. This dioram is amazing.
it’s beautiful.
_I’ve been looking at this for five hours now_
This looks amazing. Amagi must be an unlucky name but I still like it.
I'm not experienced with resin, but I have seen people use a vacuum to prevent bubbles during curing.
I was equally amused & impressed when you even went so far as to
repair the unauthentic crack in hull of the wreck😄. Great job ! 👍

This looks far more realistic with the mistake. I really like how it turned out.
Japanese are always aiming for perfection. Really admire
Great how You saved the model! Never seen a model of a sunken ship like this! Needs a lot of courage to handle it!
Great job in recovering and making a great diorama!
wonderfully done! i was curious about seeing through from the side, but that also gets done a lot at least this way its unique! and we can still see the sides from above
Excellent work!
Great job saving the model, true skill in doing so
the way you handled the disaster was truly admirable, hardly noticeable 👍
That's an extremely impressive recovery from disaster. It all worked out in the end!
The detail and work you put in on the paint job makes it one of the best and most impressive i've seen!! I felt so bad for you when it first failed but you still made an awesome diorama and piece of art out of it!!!
In a way, the distorting from the heat actually produced something beautiful
I think so
Amazing work man!
Nice save, great as always.
Props for not giving up on it! I suspect you needed to overcome some grief and disappointment first, but you pulled through nonetheless.
Amazing great work.
awesome damage repairing skill for the resin part!
Beautiful diorama. Love your caption , also excellent choice of 🎶.
Great video thanks for posting it
Simply amazing, congratulations !
Hello!! I am simply amazed to say the least, with this video and all it shows: the top quality in everything from the subject, to the music. Passing by all its historic accuracy, and detail making, down to every single centimeter. I am a fan of niponic modelling as well as japanese builders. Unfortunately I am in a country where the japanese models I most want can never reach here. I am in Portugal a country that shares with Japan beautifull parts of our History, despite the distance!!! Wish to see more from you and I wish you just the best to you and your country.
Great work! 👍
incredible work compliments for your hard work
Great work!!
Man I would've been so disheartened. Glad you managed to save it for the most part tho! Awesome model man!
Woow, thats mindblowing recovery, I would give up, you created an art.
Amazing build & diorama! 😍
This music reminds me of the music for old vintage NFL Films. The planes are packed in tight. I'm always amazed at how the planes maneuver on the flight deck to avoid collisions.
its beautiful, well done 👏
I actually like the murky water better. Seems more Ocean-like. Also, you're a King for fixing it instead of giving up
it still hurts seeing a ship in that state. very well made
Such a beautiful diorama. I like all of your artworks in your channel. Fail in making diorama is not a big deal. More practice make your skill more perfect. Keep it up, Amegraphy team. Good job. 👍👍👍👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Congratulations for not giving up after resin fail. It turn out beautiful at the end :D
Looks great!
I actually thought the bad pour made the whole thing look Amazing, The damage to the hull from the heat looked like it was real, The whole thing came out Great !!! we all lucked out LoL !!! Glad you stuck with it !!
Very good salvage effort. Good job not giving up!
From Russia with love)
Good recovery excellent end product
Awesome you made the fully build version that wasn't too
Sorry that had to happen, but................What a Brilliant recovery! You saved it! Great job.
Congratulations!!! amazing job!
I am the World of Warships user usually playing with US ships
and this video is oddly satisfying to me
I used to build these when i was a little child. I had all the paints and had ships, planes and vehicles everywhere.
Beautifully done and honestly I like how it turned out because of the “mistake”. It always bothers me to see dioramas like this with completely clear water beneath the surface since you don’t get that in real life. This looks much more realistic in my opinion and I a amazed by the amount of effort you put in.
When I was a kid we did that a lot. Mostly with M80s and gasoline or kerosene.
Fantastic Real History... And this music! Coongratulations!
Beautiful
GOOD modeling👍
This looks amazing! i'm trying to do something like this with a titanic model for some friends of mine
That's a great ideal of using lettered cloths pegs to mark each sprue. Great diorama by the way.😀
very nice save.
Wow. Very cool 🤝👍🏴
