Pleasantly surprised to see MD on this list. Having 2 gorgeous leads is my reason for liking the movie. I just give up on trying to follow the disjointed story.
LOL I loved Jack & Diane but I remember it being a lot more weird than one of them just being a werewolf. Also I just discovered your channel today and I love your content!!!
@@EvelynDar I just read Girls Who Pray and OMG IT WAS SO GOOOOOOD! I am officially a fan. I don't know if you started this UA-cam channel to promote your writing, but if you did that was very smart. And I'm glad your videos caught my eye!!! omg the book was so good. Seriously. lajdfksjdlf. Happy New Year!!!
Mulholland Drive Messed. Me. Up. One movie I thought was weird that was not on your list: Ava's Impossible Things. Weird but I really liked it as well.
Hold the phone! Alicia Silverstone played a lesbian in a movie?! I've been waiting to see that since I was 15 years old!!🥺 Dreams really do come true lol
mulholland drive is really good!!! i didn't get it the first time i watched it but once you get it you see it makes sense and there is a line of thought behind it (if you put everyhing in chronological order suddenly it's very easy to interpret it). It's not just weird for the sake of being weird , i promise.
hahaha! Great video it makes me laugh so loud. and also I want to see one of them. (Learning English so if I made any mistakes feel free to correct me it helps me a lot :)
I'm Brazilian and I'm very happy that you included it a brazilian movie on the list. Here this film is a bit underrated... but just because it's a horror movie with LGBT women is wonderful to me
You know what...Duke...is not terrible. Like, it's super weird but there is a fantastic story there. And honestly, at the risk of sounding pretentious, I thought the tension of the opening scene was brilliant given what you eventually uncover about the characters' relationship. But also like...way too much butterfly imagery 😂
not the weirdest, but what came to mind is the love scenes in Elisa at Marcela...this epic and real story had SO MUCH potential, it´s not a bad film, but it could have been epic, and the sex scenes with the octopus...just were disturbing and seemes out of place and seemed to me more like the wet dream of some male script writer.
My wife and I noped out of Mulholland Drive a few minutes in recently. It’s really hard for me to be in the mood for David Lynch’s style. I know I’ll get around to it eventually though.
I knew to avoid Muholland Drive because anything involving David Lynch is going to be weird. Catfight looks like messy fun so thanks for the recommendation lol.
Yup, lol. As for Catfight...I have to say, Sandra Oh and Anne Heche GIVE THEIR ALL in that movie 😂 And Alicia Silverstone somehow infuriated me while still cracking me up
DROOL is OKAY, and for Mulholland Drive being unnecessarily confusing, well that Unnecessary Confusion helped it to be named AFI's Greatest Movie of the 20th Century
Como se o Brasil não fosse suficientemente estranho, ele consegue chegar em uma lista de filmes lesbicos estranhos... NEM TEM FILME LESBICO NESSE PAÍS!! HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
I thought it was very poignant. The protagonist wanted her partner to see her outside of the bd/sm role playing, and her partner couldn't do it. It was very sad ...
The Duke of Burgundy wasn't that weird. Not sure why it's on your list. I thought it was ultimately sad (spoiler alert) - the protagonist wanted a connection that her lover couldn't give her. I wasn't expecting the ending, tbh. It was one of those quietly heartbreaking moments. That doesn't seem weird to me. It's a very common experience.
Thanks! Catfight isn't bad per se, but they didn't quite hit their mark either. I say watch it for Sandra Oh's awesome performance. I think she was made for black comedy humor. And also it has the most infuriatingly hilarious baby shower scene.
Oh I love mullholand drive. I just don’t see it as a lesbian movie, first of all it’s David lynch movie for me (with lesbian story as a bonus). And about it being hard to understand - actually it’s quite logical, the main thing is to understand where we see reality, and where - dreams stimulated by this reality, I’m just a little disappointed that I didn’t get it myself without some help 😂
Anyone else had the really bad idea of watching Legături bolnăvicioase on Netflix? It was really disturbing and I think it implied incest, but honestly I was so confused that I'm not sure. I couldn't bring myself to actually finish it
I watched the whole video just to see what they would say about Jack and Diane and they only say "Jack and Diane is about two teens girls and one of them is a werewolf. " I don't understand this because the other movies they talk about gets more than 1 sentence. 👎
I just remember that at that time, it was the weirdest film I'd seen and that I was glad I had seen it but had no desire to ever watch it again. As I watched it when it first came out, I'm now aware of my age, 25 years ago 25!
It wasn't the role play I found weird, but the excessive butterfly imagery and strange dream-like feel of the entire film, and unexplained world in which they live, etc.
Mulholland drive is mind blowing. One of my favorite lesbian movie.
Me too hahah its crazy
I just LITERALLY finished the movie. A bit weird honestly.
Pleasantly surprised to see MD on this list. Having 2 gorgeous leads is my reason for liking the movie. I just give up on trying to follow the disjointed story.
Haha, you teased Heavenly Creatures and Thelma at the beginning lol. 💕
I expected "duck butter" like kinda movies but I'm more satisfied with your list and am actually pretty interested in watching them
Lmao jack and Diane is about teen gf and one is a warewolf. That is it for the list!
Is the film a little ditty about Jack and Diane? Two American kids living in the heartland.
I saw it. Had no idea what was going on
Evelyn, where do you find these films? Awesome list btw!!
Lol, thanks!
We may not want to know how she finds them...
Love everytime you upload, I finished the wilds and love at least one of the suggestions everytime lol
Isnt evelyn wonderful and her uploads also😍

@@cristinahawke Aw, thank you so much 😭
"As a black comedy..." a joke so brilliant I instantly subscribed. Respect!!!
What is the joke
Yes! ‘Duke of Burgundy’ number 1! Hands down one of the weirdest movies. The only other I may have added to the list is ‘The Handmaiden’.
what no the movie is a masterpiece
i agree the handmaiden seen it 3 times still have no clue whats happening lol and duke is very weird too
Mulholland Drive Messed. Me. Up. One movie I thought was weird that was not on your list: Ava's Impossible Things. Weird but I really liked it as well.
Never heard of it, I'll def check it out. Thanks for the rec!
Mulholland drive is one of the best films ever. If you like John Lynch.
Oh my god i remember coming across Catfight watching it then feeling confused & well just completely comfused 😂
The Duke is my favourite film of all time.
Those fight scenes made my day. Laughed so much
Hold the phone! Alicia Silverstone played a lesbian in a movie?! I've been waiting to see that since I was 15 years old!!🥺 Dreams really do come true lol
Yeah...but she's a really irritating lesbian lol
CATFIGHT! I remember clicking on it just for Sandra Oh and I was PLEASANTLY surprised
I absolutely love The Duke of Burgundy. It's great. Sidse.💕
Agree such a good film
LOOOVE Your taste in cinematography!!
I love how u matter of factly say it like it is

Butterfly Kiss was VERY ODD....but i love Amanda Plummer so i own it lol

Boas Maneiras (Good Manners) is sensational!
Thanks for posting I will check some of those out!

Duck Butter is pretty weird! It’s the poop throwing for me. 🤗🤮
Yes, yes it is lol
It's the worst filme I've ever seen, I hated every second of it. Did you liked it?

I love Alicia Silverstone. 💕
I wanted to hate Duke of Burgundy but I just can't. It is weirdly entertaining. Please don't psychoanalyze that; I've done so on my own. haha
I'm totally with you lol. I was prepared to not like it and then...it wasn't bad, almost good even 😂
I thought it was very poignant. The protagonist wanted her partner to see her outside of the bd/sm role playing, and her partner couldn't do it. It was very sad ...

I totally agree. Quietly heartbreaking. Which is only too common in life, so, yes, not weird, but very human ...
Woe, I have never seen anyone called Anora on film
Such a great list. The only one I haven't watched is Catfight and I'm not even sure if I want to ;) I loved Good Manners and Thelma

First thing I googled after finishing the movie is some explanation about it 🤣
Yup! Jack and Diane was weird as fuck! Lol!
Water Lillies is also really weird movie...
I saw The perfection, its not exclusive lgtbq+, but its shocking
Mulholland drive was released in 2001 not 1996! ;)
I remember watching Jack & Dianne…I swear Kylie Minogue is in it briefly. Just a small part where she makes out with Jack. Am I right?!?
The neon demon. doesn't Elle fanning have a bizarre girl on girl sex scene in the film.
I will definitely check it out, thanks for the rec!

Jack & Diane
@@EvelynDar this is one of the cutest lesbian movie.......
I’ve only seen two of these. I’m clearly not watching enough weird lesbian movies.
"good manners might be the most ambitious film ive ever watched" evelyn have you seen The Lure???
What did you expect from Mulholland Drive it's a David Lynch movie.

May I introduce you to Oniisama e
The first one, can you really call it a lesbian film? It seems like a film about said fight, that has a lesbian protag.
Jack & Diane doesn't make any fucking sense.
I'm watching drool tnx
🥺 drool..really?
lol, I understand why it gets so much hate, but I honestly loved it.
Just the title lol puts you off.
The Duke of Burgundy isn’t weird it’s just a unique story of two women playing a role of a maid and her mistress.
It wasn't the role play I found weird, but the excessive butterfly imagery and strange dream-like feel of the entire film, and unexplained world in which they live, etc.
All this movie really really weird and ridiculous. No one of this movie l'm watch.. Life so sweet not like this miserable movie. Jerk.
