For some reason when I slick it back it’s cool. Then an hour later, the sides start to flick and curl upwards. Making me look like I have fucking horns. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
The swirl of your hair is usually the culprit for this. If you have had a side part or parting in the past, it can be difficult to manipulate your hair in a way that stops the parting from 're-appearing' in a sense. You could try combing it a little towards your parting if you have one, or just combing over your 'hair swirl' a little more to ensure it sticks. Product always helps too and there are many products that keep hair in place you can try.
The slickback is the preferred hairstyle for over-the-top villains and stockbrokers. I think it's time I embraced my true nature and go for the slickback 😂
Watched this back like 6/7 months ago when I buzzed my hair, now it’s grown so long, got 2 Haircuts in between but on top I would say it’s about 7-8cm and sides about 3-4cm so perfect for this look

How long does the hair need to be for a slick back or a middle part (minimum length) Top front hair: How much inches? Top back: (same) Sides and back: (same)
They call this cut the "hat cut" because 90% of the time you'll end up wearing a hat cuz there is no hair product on the planet that will hold it in place for more than an hour before it falls down and looks ridiculous.
putting hairspray on pomade is sort of counterproductive, especially an oil pomade cause the main reason people use oil based pomade is to be able to re style it throughout the day so putting hairspray on it would make it so you cant restyle it

Appreciate it man, I haven't grown my hair out since like 09 in high school, I rocked the undercut and then a crew cut, and now I want another classic hairstyle, but with some length this time.
It's definitely recommended to add product whilst hair is wet, but there is no huge negative impact when using on dry hair. The main problem is that you may lose hairs when manipulating dry hair just because it's easier to pull hairs out when it is dry. This is why you usually have some hair leftover on a comb when combing dry hair.
