This is definitely one of my favorite songs by the band. I actually recorded this cover back in October 2021, but I just never got around to posting it. I was leaving for a tour right around early/mid November, and I never finished editing/mixing the video prior to leaving. Either way, here it is, and I hope y'all like it...!
I'm excited to be recording a few more videos over the next month or two, and I'll be uploading all of the multi-tracks to my GumRoad and Patreon. The links and more details are below. I'm also slowly chipping away at another solo EP, and I'm really excited to start posting more about that in the future. I still need to track and record everything, produce, mix, vocals, etc... But, another EP is definitely in the works, and I can't wait to finish everything up.

@@olivermgrech Same, such tasteful drum parts on all his originals and the covers just slam.
@@cradycovers Yep! I've done a few mixes for him. Not all of his videos, just a few. He's amazing at hitting and tuning. So it's always next to no work for me when mixing his drums.

Double bass hertas are one of those things that just clicks one day. You’ll get it!
Haha! Yea, the muscle memory definitely just clicks one day. The way I first started learning them was to play R-R-L on my feet as straight eighth notes (or sixteenth notes depending on how you're counting things). It's the same exact motion for the most part, and then you slowly work in that extra L between the two R's. \m/
@@asdrummer2008 Yes, I have taken the RRL route before and it has helped tremendously. I‘ll just have to continue and wait for the muscle memory to click! Right now, I can incorporate 2-3 consecutive 32nd note hertas into my playing without it sounding sloppy, so there‘s still lots to discover!

How do you tune your kit?
Don't really have any set rules I follow. Usually just start with checking pitch at each tension rod by tapping gently. And then adjusting until it starts sounding how I want it to sound under the microphone. I try to get it decent-sounding in the room, but I'm more worried about how it sounds under the microphone.
