For those who would like to know : "Une valse à 3 temps" translates to "a 3-beats waltz " : it's the dance that takes your breath away, the beginning. "Une valse à 20 ans" is pronounced like "une valse à 20 temps" wich translates to "a 20-beats waltz" but refers to the age of the dancers, 20 years old. It's an old but thrilling dance. "Une valse à 1000 temps" is pronounced like "une valse a mit le temps", translates to "a 1000-beats waltz" or "a waltz took the time"... "and waited until you are 20 and I'm 20 to give us a romance". "Une valse à 100 ans", wich means that the time has passed but at 100 years old, they still dance together and they took a lifetime to build their romance. It's a love song saying that you can love at any age, even if it's a different love (thrilling, charming, stronger,...) but at the end it's an entire life of love. I don't think the people in the audience were clear as to just how difficult this song is to perform in any language, much less French, and how extremely talented he is as singer as well as actor.
