Automated Wheel Mounting PowerHEAD | Atlas Copco

The AWM PowerHEAD is Atlas Copco’s new fully automated PowerHEAD for wheel mounting applications. Utilizing our proven tightening system and robot vision guidance system, all integrated into one compact unit with standardized mechanical and software interfaces. We have standard versions for all wheel sizes with 4-6 bolts and custom solutions for any wheel mounting application for cars, light commercial vehicles and tucks.
Always included
• Atlas Copco fixtured tightening system for Automation: The FlexSystem with QST spindles
• Atlas Copco ISRA robot guidance system for nut-pickup, wheel-pickup and alignment
of wheel and flange.
• Atlas Copco global application center and service organization.
Optional features
• 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 for different amount of tools and different center to center distances.
Ex: 4 bolts with a C-C of 100 mm and 5 bolts with a C-C of 130 mm, with the same PowerHEAD.
• 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤-𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭 for moving assembly line enables fast reset in case of a robot failure.
• 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 to compensate for shaking conveyor systems.
