Because you couldn’t survive in Nepal without cooperation, the values such as honesty and helpfulness have become a bedrock of Nepalese identity. Such villages have next to no crime.
37:49 Mustang became a part of modern Nepal in the 1700s, when King Prithvi Narayan Shah initiated his military campaign resulting in modern day Nepal. During the campaign, some kings who peacefully agreed to come under his kingdom of Gorkha were given special local rights, whereby they could rule locally as king, but the kingdom itself would be part of Nepal politically. When Nepal became a republic in 2008 and the Nepalese monarchy proper was abolished, the last surviving mini-kingdom within the larger Nepali kingdom was also abolished.
Before that Mustang was part of the Tibetan kingdom and thus, so much of its language, culture and religion are akin to western Tibet. In fact, the present king of Nepal is a descendent of Tibet’s King Songtsen Gampo.

I loved the almost open courtyard effect when you went in with the wooden stair case and balconies. The rooms looked pretty decent too. Your video is quite enlightening to a Nepali like me as well. You are too good Harold. Lots of love and respect to Kamala Thakali for her warm hospitality. Its people like her who keep the tourism alive in this country.
I hope because of your video's a lot more people will be visiting Nepal, these people deserve more tourism and a better life for sure! At least I am interested in visiting Nepal at least once in my Life because of your awesome content 🔥
Heaven in the sky! Absolutely authentic in every sense of the word! Seriously impressed with this community hidden away from the world it's like a medieval village from long ago but still intact! The Appleshine lady's store was so impressive.. she's a goddess of the mountain man excellent work you are on fire! Rabbit hole excursions so authentic! I could live here... imagine making videos here in the winter! 🔥🔥🔥
Even though I cannot survive in this rocky mountainous country, watching Nepal videos bring me peace...Nepalians are so reconciled with nature. Just amazing politeness, friendliness
Nepalians😂. People from nepal are called Nepali or Nepalese.
@@sudeepshakya2857 it's OK to coin your own words 😆 🤣

One thing i just remembered is that when i was first watching your videos .I used to remember your UA-cam name as Hari Bahadur .One of the legend of Nepali comedian.Because , i felt your name is too hard for me .

الشعب النيبالي شعب طيب وجميل ومضياف تحياتي لك من العراق ❤❤

That lady is brilliant Haraldo! She has contributed to your report enormously! Get her to record her stories and do guided tours! Well done again! So much different from Rhodos! And all on the same planet!! Amazing!
Omg for the first time i watched the whole 1 hr vlog. It was so beautiful and insightful hearing the restaurant owner’s story. She was so sweet and lovely ❤
OMG Harald. This Nepali series is blowing it out the sky. The scenery at this town is so beautiful. The people equally so. The lady at the cafe is a gem. I so want to try that apple wine, you have no idea. That tray of food looked incredible.
So much history and culture in every stone there.
The hotel you stayed at looked lovely too. I loved the almost open courtyard effect when you went in with the wooden stair case and balconies. The rooms looked pretty decent too.
You have done an amazing job putting this place on the map for sure. Clean safe and astonishing views and people.
The guy smoking made me laugh, I remeber the time the chap who took all your sun cream had you smoking in his house... so funny.
Now remember people, as we heard from number 1 fan... like comment and subsribe.
Happy travels Harald.
This was yet another great video, i must say i really liked what you did with all the clips at the end of the video.. like a small recap mixed with b-roll footage.. really nice 🙏
The lady from the restaurant is so kind. I always have that thakali khana set when i go to the restaurant! Thanks for exploring our country, religions, places and cultures in the world. Everyone don’t forget that (BUDDHA WAS BORN IN NEPAL)🇳🇵watching from 🇵🇹
Nepal is so beautiful, I would've NEVER considered it if not for your videos. I'm gonna have to book a trip soon, cheers man.
Kamala was soo knowledgeable, hospitable and friendly. She def represents that part of Nepal and especially Thakali tribes of Nepal. Haraldo I am jealous of you bro to have that opportunity to taste the apple products/ bongo/ moonshine whatever. ❤❤❤
Everything about this village is stunning.
Wow, Thank you Harald , You always take us on a fantastic adventure to places we only get to experience because you have the will and curiosity to go where few dare. Please stay safe.
The Nepal videos has been your best work so far imo. Nice to see that your still progressing at the respectable age of 72. 👍
Keep your grind on Harald! Keep showing us the uniqueness of every corner of this rock! The humor mixed with the your experiences make for the perfect combo, never fail to disappoint.

I can't tell you how much I love these videos! Harold, you are bringing places to people who would never otherwise get to experience them. It's the next best thing to experiencing first hand.

Dearest Harold,I absolutely love this place, this lady that you filmed is so sweet and knowledgeable about her community. The food looked yummy even though I don’t know what you ate the only thing you said was yak ,lol don’t know what that is , I am a very old senior that I wish I could close my eyes and be there with you ,I didn’t like that small plane you went on ,it looked scary even though u said it was a good ride. Nepal is a very interesting place ,but this town really got into my heart . IF you ever come to Fla ,in usa again I hope and pray you will let me know ,my house is open ,I have followed you forever and will never miss one of your vlogs ,sometime I have to fast forward the film because I get so scared of the risk you take lol. Please always be safe . Ty for forfilling my life with your adventures, wish I had your strength. Thanks again Harold ,I hope u will write back ,Alma, usa, florida ❤️♥️💜💜💚🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 you are amazing, your love for structures and the land is so strong ,
That is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I’m definitely going to plan a trip there. I would actually love to live in a place like that because it’s so peaceful and quiet and the people are so friendly.

Bro u are the best and i love Nepal videos. keep safe and entertain us and yourself ❤ Greetings from Greece.
This one ticks every single box for me. It literally has a bit of every thing I love in your videos. Mustang is absolutely stunning. The people seem lovely, the architecture is beautiful. It's peaceful and quiet. Filled with personally fascinating history. A bit of market and invading. And a YT. One of my my favorites you've made, Harald. Thanks.
Ps. We're those JEAN shorts you were wearing?!
Yeah the same once I've been wearing since Cyprus and Brazil
@@HaraldBaldr sorry "trekking" shorts.
Herald, I can’t take a month off from work or else I would pack my bag and go Nepal to spend time with my family and go everywhere you're going, LOL. My literal dream. Thank you, Herald, for this masterpiece video.
Your a good soul Haroldo. I love seeing you helping and interacting with the locals. Good man 👍👍
