Varanasi (वाराणसी), is the most holy of India's holy cities. It's a place made famous here on UA-cam and in the media due to the Aghori, a sect of ascetic Shaivite sadhus who practice a unique and extreme form of Hinduism. They're known for their strange and unconventional practices such as staying on cremation grounds, covering themselves with the ashes, using human skulls as utensils, and can...

Yes, don't talk politics, religion, history, don't point out racism or any problem, just pass through here like the cardboard cutout that you are. Seriously, if you care about something, want to learn or just to hear people's opinions just talk. Some may be passionate or dismissive, but most actually like debating and lively conversations.

WTF? Russian similar ? romanian is a latin language. Cash ? It is mandated by law that every business has to have a POS. We only have cash to pay for very small amounts and for paying at farmers markets. Petty theft ? I haven't been a victim since 1996.

I appreciate this video so much because it led me to research the area. Unfortunately, Erg Chebbi is saturated and not a very pleasant experience going on these types of tours. I decided for Erg Chigaga, truly remote with the closest village located 60 Km away and only accessible 4x4. A pleasant and down to earth desert experience.

For a luxury tour it’s more money. They can be arranged by specialist tour operators.

I think if people are making a living out there, carrying food, water, etc to a remote place good on them. £10/$12 us is fine. You’re abroad! Enjoy it and you’re helping businesses and families to live, creating employment for locals and even the shops are supporting a scarf and clothing vendor. Chill! Keep things in perspective and enjoy!

Dear Chris, regarding the rubbish u have mentioned in some places in tiouane, I noticed you have focused on the subject in the areas where non one live, which most of the stuff is blown towards empty field by the wind, but it doesn't mean that morocco is full of rubbish everywhere, I lived in the UK for 30 years, and I can tell you there is a lots of rubbish in a lots of areas of the most of cities and towns, and I went to new York, and found more rubbish in the streets than I saw in moroccan cities, it's normal things in every country, but it seemed you talked about it a lots when morocco's concerned, you sounded like a typical tourist, when they go abroad and start moaning about rubbish, flies, smell, mosquitos, it's like they don't exist where they come from, I can tell u, where I live in the UK, I got bitten by big mosquitos in the summer, and get big flies all the time, and don't start me on the stinking poo smell coming in from the farmers field regularly, and u can't open the house windows when the smell is on, plus other smells from manufacturers nearby, and I struggle to breath, so you need to focus ur videos on places of interest, culture, history, achievement, tourism, sports, and fun stuff, not negativity, in ur case filming rubbish, every country have good areas, and crapy ones, no country is immune from rubbish or perfect, I could go on and on about lots of things but I think u got my meaning, good luck. 😊

Hi Chris, thanks for the effort making the video, but I must point out that, you need to make your home work on the history of the city and morocco in general, you have made few historical mistakes, also to correct u, the old city was built in the 11th century by the moroccan people, and was designed for the safety and protection of their people and located on the hill facing the sea, so they can spot and stop any invasion by anyone coming from sea. The houses inside the old city are still standing until now, hence generations of moroccan people still living in them up to now, the new city or what u called it the Spanish houses, correction, us actually moroccan houses built by moroccans, and the design is moroccan not Spanish, it is the other way around, in short the old moroccan people which is Berber and Arabs made a big army , in 7th century went to Iberia, present day spain, took over most of Andalusia, built new cities with moroccan architecture, and stayed there until 14th century, hence they influenced the Spanish building, houses, therefore that is why u assumed the houses were spanish style, maybe you went on holiday to Spain and seen similarity in the house style, and assumed that morocco have spanish houses??.

The city is loaded with history and it is cool... I love the vibe in Tangiers. The only negative thing was the scammers, especially those selling rugs and perfumes/medicines in the Medina.... and the false tourist guides. If you say hi, you can never get rid of them,. They expect a tip even for a hello..... and they take you to shops and you are "kidnapped" there until you buy anything... The persistence of vendors. The ask so outrageous prices, laughable. Hard not to insult them but I did feel taken as stupid. I am not American, but they assumed I was(?). It is a region where people can speak and understand Spanish. Warning: Also if you are a woman traveling alone, the males will complain about your presence in a coffee shop or anywhere (my wife and my cousin were treated poorly sometimes when I was not there.) The food is really good. The archaeology museum is small but it has very beautiful and curated pieces.

That video was amazing! You have a new subscriber 😁 I'm a solo female Brit 🇬🇧 here for the first time in Agadir, Morocco at the moment. I was thinking of doing the Sahara 3 day tour but I'm only here for 1 week and just haven't got enough time left to fit it in. I head off home on Sep 25th. I will put it on my bucket list to do next time though (especially with the luxury accommodation - Thanks for the heads up on that). Just one question, I left my GoPro at home because I read bad reviews on Trip Adviser that videoing in Morocco is frowned upon. Did you have any problems from anyone whilst filming on the tour? I really need to know whether to risk bringing it with me or not next time, as capturing my adventure would be awesome 😊 Thanks!

Thank you Chris for sharing your review of the tour. I have a couple of comments: - Overall, the vibe we get from the video is more negative than positive. It could have been a bit more balanced and benefited from showing more of the beauty of the country, the magic of the desert, unique Berber culture and people's generosity. - I have done this route couple of years ago and allocating 3 days isn't giving it justice. I would recommend at least 5 days (two nights in the desert) and spend sufficient time in each place. - I am native Moroccan and a 10€/12€ for a 3 course meal is really a good deal. You can always find cheaper but that applies to all places on earth. Can't comment on the quality but generally speaking the restaurants who are selling a lot usually offer fresh ingredients given the high rotation. Hope you enjoyed your time in Morocco!

Sfax is the worst city in Tunisia, dirty, nothing to do there and worst of all people are so racist there to the extent that they don't like other tunisian. Apart from sfax Tunisia is awesome

Chris be honest 12$ for all that food is not much money , I had tuna sandwich in Manchester for 15 $ and I still didn’t complain , when I travel I really don’t complain as long as I have something to eat in thankful , my suggesting next time , if you can drive , rent a car and drive you have many options and you are free to stop at any places and eat whatever kind of food you want instead of eating what the tour people give you
