All weights have their advantages, playing lightly means you play with greater peace of mind. Playing with medium weight gives you some advantages when moving with heavy weapons, such as rolls with a higher invincibility frame. And playing heavy you have the advantage of tanking more because you have tankier armor (not that you can't do this with reduced weight, but you have more points to spend on other attributes), and the shove (LB+RB) is a very strong resource in the game for those who play heavy. Basically, you can cancel many movements of enemies and even the boss with a shove. I loved how they balanced it and give good advantages when playing with all weight measurements.
