I love my horizontal Sterling Ink planner so much. For me, it's all about having the day-specific events and appointments on one side and the weekly notes & to-do lists on the other side, but being able to see them at the same time. And also having enough pages in the back to do one-page-per-day journaling/memory keeping. I might need to re-evaluate in the future if my life changes, but for right now, this system works perfectly for me. Hopefully by the time August/September comes around this year you'll be fully settled in at your new job and you'll be able to make a fully informed decision about what size/layout of planner you want for next year. In the meantime I hope you're able to find a modified layout that works for you! I know there are all kinds of posts and videos about how to turn a vertical planner layout into a horizontal one.
Yes, this is exactly what I want! I'm trying dome new layouts so hopefully I can get the A5 vertical to work for me. If worst comes to worst, i can just use the weeklies more decoratively and put the functional weeklies in my EDC. Not huge problems given the state of the world but, you know. Thanks for being here!
I feel you so much! The bottom line is that your planner needs to support your life. I am an appointment based person so I need vertical layouts in order to organize & plan. However, size is super important to me bc I often keep my planner in my hands. I would say that I have more planner peace this year than previous ones probably bc for the first time I have separate planners for different parts of my life. It works because everything but my Weeks stays at home.
I so agree that appointments and meetings people need a vertical. I was one, once. Size is important to me as well. I can't do the A6 or anything smaller because I find it hard to write on. Glad you have found some bit of planner peace :) Thanks for watching!
I feel planner peace right now because I finally know what to do with my monthly pages. I write down all of the money I spend that day. I used to ignore them but now I finally refer to them daily. I also have separate work and personal books, which helps keeps some of the planner chaos at bay
I don’t have a lot going on in my life so I never needed a big notebook, I say notebook because I don’t plan, yes I put on the calendar when I or my husband has a doctor’s appointment, or someone’s birthday. I don’t plan when to clean the house or what room. I don’t like feeling disappointed when I didn’t get things done. I’m too old and life is too short. Anyway I love Wonderland 222’s notebooks and when she did unstacked weekends in B6, I couldn’t wait to get one. I use the weekly’s for health. On the very top weather and my work schedule. Then it’s bathroom habits, how long did I sleep (Apple Watch figures) how I felt when I woke up. How many steps I did, exercise, etc. what did I eat, watch and do when I got home from work. The back pages I use about a half a page per day and write about my day, how was work, did I go shopping, etc. You can also redo your vertical pages into a horizontal layout. Have you watched Martin made tv? She has great content. She uses an N1 full year but has a video that shows how to change up the vertical layout to different styles including a dashboard. I am using one of her layout ideas in my A5 and I love it.
I have watched her before but i may have to take a closer look. I have some ideas for changing it up but I could always use more! Thanks for the recommendation!
