  • Russia has confirmed a new prime minister after the lower house of Parliament approved Vladimir Putin's choice for the job and the President formally appointed him. Mikhail Mishustin was head of the country's federal tax service. He was put forward as Putin's choice for Prime Minister, after Dmitry Medvedev and his entire government resigned on Wednesday. In his state of the nation address, President Putin had called for political reform giving more power to the Duma. There's speculation Putin will take on a new role when his current presidential term ends in 2024.

The political system in Russia is being changed where the President will hold a ceremonial office no longer a direct part of the legislature. Mishustin holds a doctorate in economics.

you are wrong, but more powers will be given to the Prime Minister and the Parliament, but Russia will remain a presidential Republic, the entire history of Russia for 1000 years suggests that one person should lead, as soon as power fell into the hands of several people, the country began to tear apart, there are about 100 nationalities in the country

In two of those countries at least they are officially an occupying force. Iraq just passed a parliamentary request for the Americans to withdraw all their armed forces from Iraqi territory, and, although Syria never invited the Americans in, they set up bases there and are now staying "for the oil", in Trump's words.
