- In the past three years, the city of Chicago has suffered from street violence that has made national news too many times. Last year alone, Chicago had over five hundred murders. This year, we're already in a position to break that record. This poem "Chicago's Hope' was laid on Preston Perry's heart to write 4 years ago so he did. Now, with the consistent epidemic of murder, gang violence, and street violence still plaguing the city. Preston felt compelled to make a video and release it to the public. His prayer is that this video will help spark real change by inspiring believers around the world to pray and tell the world that hope is found in Jesus. We are called to give the Gospel. It is desperately needed. Especially in urban areas like Chicago where people are searching for a solution. Christ has called Christians to make disciples of all Nations. Preston believes we should start in our own communities.

Amazing! Powerful! I pray God uses you to spark a change with this word in Chicago and it would just begin to have a chain reaction all over your city and trickle nation wide so that the world will no longer be blinded to the confession and chaos of this world but be brought of of darkeness by us Christians doing our part and sharing the gospel and allowing God's love and light to shine through us like flames in a dark room.

Wow! Thirty six years ago I lived in Michigan and when ever I came into Chicago a part of my spirit yes filled with joy to be how but part of me was gripped by the spirit of death I could feel hovering over the city. When I'd say it people thought I was crazy. It no longer hovers its here. We need mothers and fathers to bring Jesus back into our homes and take our beautiful babies off the street.
