NPES - The Bingham-Neal Visual Arts and Musical Excellence Scholarship

Shirley Bingham Neal was born on August 2, 1936 in Newport, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Raymond Taylor Bingham and Shirley Elizabeth Bingham. When she was in the 3rd grade, the family moved to the country to a 250+-acre farm in Hebron, Kentucky, now the site of North Pointe Elementary. Shirley Bingham Neal was the youngest and last surviving of five siblings. In 2000, her parents were honored at North Pointe Elementary when the library was dedicated The Bingham Library in their memory.
The Bingham-Neal Visual Arts and Musical Excellence Scholarship @ The Bingham Library was created in the spring of 2021 to honor their legacy and love of the arts and music. Any current or former North Pointe student may apply for this annual scholarship (awarded each May) in order to help pursue their interests and talents in the visual or musical arts.
Who: Any current or former North Pointe Elementary student
What: $1,000 scholarship to pursue involvement in the visual or musical arts
