- Fitting NGK CR8EIX IRIDIUM spark plugs to the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. They are said to be a far better plug that the original Bosch, give a better spark and last longer. We shall give it a go.
I have to say changing the spark plugs on the Super Meteor is very hassle free, most bikes these days requires removing the fuel tank! Very nice workshop video.
Its as nice easy job to do. Thanks for watching
I always use compressed air and blow down the spark plug hole BEFORE removing the spark plug. Will remove any bits of dirt or gravel so it doesn't fall into the plug hole! I also put a slight film of anti seize on the plug threads before installation.
Thats an excellent idea, bits of road grit and insects always end up around the plugs. I will remember that for next time. Thanks for watching, its much appreciated.
Great after seeing video i replaced with NGK iradium plug,it has increased mileage and smooth engine sound. GREAT FOR YOUR IDEAS ANDTHANKS
Thats awesome, good choice fitting the NGK plugs. Great to hear the bike is running good. Thanks for watching, ride safe 👍
Are you from India
@@hitendrasarthi798 yes iam Indian.
@@poojanagaraj9653 is iridium plug se benefit milega. 1 baar bullet me use Kiya Tha. Experience achchha nahi Tha Mera. Sm 650 me daalna chahiye kya brother.
Have you considered Iridium spark plugs ?
They will outlast your Spark plugs by a country mile.
Actually last at least twice as long and more efficient.
These are Iridium NGK plugs..Thanks 👍
NGK CR8EIX IRIDIUM spark plugs, can i use it for meteor 350
I don't know if I'm being honest with you, I would either join a Facebook group and ask there or find a UA-cam channel for the Meteor 350. Hope you find out. Thanks for watching
Do you suggest to replace stock cable and caps with NGK spark cable and plugs too.
No I didn't due to the bike being so new 👍
Just curious... were you having any problems with the original plugs? Any misfiring, or poor uneven pickup under acceleration etc? The reason I ask is that the plugs you took out look to be in very good condition. No oiling or carbon build up at all. The RE service book says replace the plugs at 9000 miles or 24 months, so unless you're having problems I'm kinda curious as to why?
Hi there, the only reason why I have changed the plugs is because when researching to buy a Super Meteor I saw a few articles where Royal Enfield owners were not happy with the BOSCH plugs fitted, the white ceramic had cracked and this is the same experience I have had in the past with them. It is personal preference only, I have always fitted NGK plugs to all my bikes & cars and never had a problem with them. Not to say the BOSCH plugs would be ok but for the sake of a few pounds it gives me peace of mind. Thanks for watching 👍
@@Butlers_Bike_life Thanks for the extra info. I have a SM currently on 1200 miles and so far no firing issues, so I was wondering if yours was misbehaving? I tend to use my plugs for as long as I can (wire brush for carbon deposits, quick clean with WD40 then re-gap and refit) until they need replacing, but you can't go wrong with NGK plugs and a bit of peace of mind goes a long way! 👍
I am really impressed with the bike, I have had it since June, has got to be the best bike i have ever owned. My far the best thing I have ever fitted to any bike is the DNA filter, I have done a video on it. Throttle response is so much better. Regards 👍 @@Lectric_Blue
Why change??? Done 4000k miles on my bike since 1st service, so why????
Had BOSCH ceramics break over the years, better to be safe than sorry, all down to personal preference 👍Thanks @@raypayne1979
Thanks for sharing, and you have shared a careful good way to replace the plugs.
Just a curious question. Do you notice any improvement in performance in terms of power and fuel efficiency?
To answer the question honestly.....No 😀 More peace of mind that I have got goo plugs fitted. But I did when I fitted the DNA air filter which I have done a video on. Probably the best mod i have ever done on a bike. Thanks for watching 👍
@ButlersBikeLife You make good content!
BTW, these NGK plugs also last much longer, I think 40,000 Km.
I think they are the best on the market, many thanks 👍@@freddy9210
Did it make any difference? 🤔
Any performance increase in your machine to change the spark plug.
I have to be honest and say No. I just preferred to put NGK plugs in the bike Thanks for watching 👍
@@Butlers_Bike_life ok thanks
Can't beat iridium plugs.
They are top quality. Thanks for watching
Can you tell if we should install cr7eix or cr8eix spark plugs on SM 650. Which one and why ?
I have seen bikers and other vloggers suggest using cr7eix with stock cables. But with cr8eix they suggest to change the stock cables alongwith the plug cap
Sorry I am not sure to be honest, I would speak with a Royal Enfield mechanic. I just changed my plugs with the standard leads, Runs like a dream 👍
Oh. ! So you switched back to the standard ones from Bosch ?
@@vaibhavsharma6012 No I fitted NGK CR8EIX IRIDIUM and they are on the bike now 👍
Great. I ordered them too. Let's see what RE mechanic tells you about those two models mentioned above. I got to know that 8eix may cause engine fauling and should keep 7eix for twin 650 engines. Due to the heat range between these two models 8eix runs colder than 7eix
Have you thought about putting an RMP meter?
A video... To change plugs 😂😂😂
The beauty and strength of UA-cam, something for everyone. Thanks for watching
Beautiful bike, I hope it is good!
All is good thanks, but having too much wet weather. Thanks for watching.
Nicely done.
