In the first section using the A & B pedals you have the following Gmaj progression: I IV V IV V I IVsus4 I or I IV V IV V I bVII I depending upon which note you want to call the root. When you are on the on the 13th fret; Why are you including an F in the bass instead of using a knee lever to bring the F down to an E?I am sure you have a reason for this; however including the minor-7 note of the Gmaj scale seems odd to me particularly in tutorial for beginners. In the first section of the video, no F note is being played at fret 13. The scale is being played along strings 5 and 3 (open fret = B and G# respectively) and not on string 4 (open fret = E), where fret 13 is an F. The progression is playing sixths (which in this context can be treated as inverted thirds) from the diatonic chords of G major but the root notes are not being played, merely the third and fifth notes of its I-ii-iii-IV-V-vi-vii° chords. At fret 3 (no pedals), B and D are being played (the third and fifth of the I chord, G); at fret 3 (with pedals A+B), C and E are being played (the third and fifth of the ii chord, Am); at fret 8, E and G are being played (the third and fifth of the IV chord, C); at fret 13, A and C are being played (the third and fifth of the vii° chord, F#°).
This is great buddy ro! Maybe it's time to get my steel out from it's hiding place... Lol .. Thanks 😎
Great lesson Troy! Are you using a thicker 3rd string in this video? What brand and model is your amp you are using?
Thanks Don! I'm just using a standard set of E9 strings. The Amp is a Kemper Amp Profiler.

When I say it changes the E to an F, I'm describing that as in Open 0 Fret position. Not 3rd Fret.
I may not be understanding your question
