- Important tips for new players in CarX Drift Racing Online. If you want to fit into CarX drifting community then these tips will help. Most importantly have fun and slide just don't ruin the experience for others. In this CarX gameplay I was using Thrustmaster T300RS steering wheel with a Thrustmaster H-shifter and handbrake.

As somebody whos been playing CarX off and on since the year it released, I can safely say you've covered 90% of the biggest issues with public lobbies, hopefully people will heed your advice and will chill out.

The thing about 'using realistic liveries' is that the weeb liveries are realistic. Tons of people make them IRL. I don't really think it's as big of a deal compared to not following the rules inside the drift/drag/etc server.

goosiest never fails to make my day with his sense of humor and clean drifting
workshop mods are likely causing lag because of the models being used being heavier than the default cars (more poly,s higher res textures, more materials etc) it's not really something carX can fix, it's down to the modders to optimise their mods
i think people can run whatever livery they want, gatekeeping style is how everyone ends up with the same cars and nobody dares to be unique
also any adh lobbies are great fun, people have to adapt to the cars they want to drift with despite their adh being low or high which is interesting to watch to see how people overcome it
but hey, other than that i agree ^^ mfs who don't reset are by far the most annoying people in lobbies. if you aren't following everyone else's route, stay away from them or find a lobby where people ARE following your route

I love going into open adh servers with 120%adh and pass everyone in drifts. Super fun passing in corners. My goal is to pass without touching or effecting anyone. lol

Recently developed a habit of constantly driving in a specific lane and staying there, most people seem to not be into that so I chose to almost always stay dead last. I don’t mind it though it cool seeing big drift trains
Yes for warm ups I do loops on East touge , wide lane first then tight lane second lap then im ready , is a very good way to get used to your car before an awesome tandem :)

I drift on AC but whenever I'm practicing alone and see a tandem/train going on, I never try to come between/overtake
But if they are more skilled, I usually like to just follow 2 car lenghts behind to not disturb them but so that I can copy their line/transition and use their skills to better my skills lol
But I always see other dudes that try to squeeze in or who just follow too close and end up bumping into the more skilled drivers and ruining it for everyone...
I'm not bad at drifting but I've also been a victim of unskilled dudes playing on keyboards that want to follow 5 cm behind me driving on a wheel and ramming the back of my car every corner..
happens so much. people with 2000000psi of boost redlining their ass off overtaking me whos leading the whole 2-3 man. then i try to adjust and follow their line like hes hypnotizing me making him crash because he cant take the pressure of being the leader.
at least in forza horizon you can phase through players.

On the note of revving at a meet, I cannot help it sometimes (rarely) and anyone with a g920 and a pet with hair I’m sure knows exactly what I’m talking about, the sensors get hair or dirt on them and the throttle will bounce or sometimes go wide open on its own but a simple can of air can fix it.
Yeah honestly, I agree with everything bar styling choices... We see this stuff IRL where you have to follow a trend and honestly, it's boring AF seeing the same stuff over and over again. Should be teaching the next generation to do whatever they want as long as it's respectful and hurts no one else✌️.

As a "racing tune" driver, what makes me crazy is the number of jerks with the Prestigio. Most of them are just ramming. When you have the misfortune to overtake them while riding fair from the beginning, you can be 99% sure that they will hit you and ram you. What about the guys who want to race against me? Come on guys, be serious. We already don't play in the same car and you want to prove me what? That you're bad at driving? Wanna impress me? Drive a real man car, RWD, fool 🤣
Don't get pissed off because someone's driving a better car than you. If you want to stick to an inferior car that's your choice, not theirs.
I get messages from people all the time in Horizon 5 complaining that I'm drifting AWD, or that my car's 'OP', or it's too powerful, etc. It's their choice to drift RWD, or to stick with a 200hp b-class Trueno or whatever. No-one's forcing them and no-one's forcing you.
Re. rammers though: fuck them. Assholes.

I'd say: don't think of drifting as a race. You get so many players who can't bear to be the chaser in a tandem so they stop drifting and race ahead of you, start drifting, fall behind, start racing again, pull ahead of you, start drifting again, fall behind, over and over again. It's NOT A RACE.
Or...if it is a drift-race, then don't start grip racing as soon as you fall behind. TBH this is more of an issue in Horizon, but it's so annoying I had to mention it. I don't play as much CarX as I do Horizon but it probably happens in CarX too, knowing what people are like.
I don't get why people wanna be out in front. It's the same as drifting solo if you're always leading. The thrill is in the chase

Reminds me of LFS, where I'd use the tweak to get access to tune my car more like real life, and then drift round the track, and also do some drags...and some random person would go flying by me on stretch in 0.01 seconds, causing them to glitch out the map 💀

Idk how many hours I spend fine tuning certain cars for specific needs, some are fast and some are slow and chill. Depends on what type of server I wanna play on. Ones with 90% adhesion I'm "okay cool, a server I can just chill" and ones with "any" I'm like "gotta go fast".. really just depends on my mood.
As someone who can’t tandem very well, whenever I see people tandeming, I’ll just follow a safe distance behind and watch them bc it amazes me.

the team one is actually really important, and no, goosiest does not mean you should join a pro drift team if you are just starting out, there are teams where you can learn how to drift (back in the day I used to be in one) And other things in this video are pretty on point

I agree with most of your points raised with the exception of liveries and paint. Something i like most about the IRL drifting scene is the bold colours and liveries. Take Rome Charpentier FD USA or Sammit FDJ2 or even Adam LZ previous S15 (before joining RTR) they really pop on the screen and in real life. Yes some liveries would benefit from a rework in the game but I suppose if the owners happy with seeing it on his screen I'm not going to leave the server because of it.
Also I never understood the point of "car meet" servers until seeing your videos and how you take the videos. Very artistic well played Goosiest 👌🏼

Could be nice with Admin “privileges” if you host a server, and they need to work on the console lag as well. But those are small things, this game is overall great and affordable for anyone

Why do people hate when you join in tandem ? it so dope when you are in a tandem and a 3rd or 4th comes in and slide with ya, it's so dope and gives a chance to see sick moves... of course the more people join in the more likely you are to fail, but if no one fails it's so cool :D
I think its cause 90% of the time, its some random who has no coordination with the 2 that are in a tandem, if they give you permission, then im sure its fine, although the 10% the do know what they are doing do make it pretty cool

In the 2nd tip, when i see 2 people tandeming, i mostly join them from behind, not from the middle, unless i want to show up or do some sick trickery when there is a gap lol

on Gran Turismo noboby liked the fact that the VGT cars like the tomahawk, LM55 and most of the 4wd cars were my drift cars, they all wanted CH tires with rwd cause they say 4wd is to easy to drift... yet most couldn't hold a turn to save their lives while im drifting an F1 car past them XD

3:02 same thing happens in FH5. Hard to find posts with people either not talking over each other, being outright disrespectful, or blaring their horns the entire time.
for number 2 it really depends if its just 2 yeah join at the end but if they second guy constantly makes huge gaps in turning then id say just go ahead and drift inbetween cause then guy making gaps isnt making such huge gaps anymore
