Haven't been to Playa Mia, but I'd probably still choose Chankanaab over either. It's our most favourite place in Mexico. Snorkeling, beach, dolphins, manatees, sea lion show, crocodiles, lagoon and botanical garden, glass bottomed kayak, zip lines, human ball, tequila museum and tasting, Mayan village, restaurants, pool... so. much. fun.
Nochi Cochom is much better if you are looking for a nice quiet day at the beach. They have good food and the alcohol is included $100 for two. They only allow 100-130 people at a time. Book on their website.
Thank you guys for making my planning easier. We were at Mr Sancho's during the Spring Break on our Navigator of the Seas cruise and we will be back in Cozumel again in Christmas & this time on the Liberty of the Seas out of Galveston. I thought I'd try Playa Mia next but seeing your review & your Playa experience, I could easily conclude that Mr Sancho's is for us. We are not sun-worshippers so sunbeds are no big deal. But the food at Mr Sancho's are for sure unbeatable.
Chankanaab national park is best for families. It’s beautiful and the staff is very helpful. They have onsite security, lockers for rent and plenty of chairs. The price is better than the other places also.
Pamela G. Thanks for this info! I think I’ll book Playa Mia with my husband and 8 year old daughter. And we will book online but just take our own taxi. Thanks again!
We have gone to mr sanchos 4 times in a row the first time was with my 7 year old nephew and he lost his mind had to drag him off the beach because of the aqua park which was an extra 10 dollars at the time. For the 5th time in cozumel on my wedding cruise we went to playa mia and it's a little too Family friendly for our crowd. We want mexican food in Mexico and there were a lot of burgers and dogs chicken nuggets and fries on the buffet. Mr sanchos had fresh ceviche fish tacos. Horchata. We took a cab to mr sanchos there was never a crowd there. Play mia was full of people all day. Mr sanchos was a clear winner for us. But I would also say playa mia for small children they did have a nice splash area.
I think they both have their pros and cons so there really isn't one that is technically "better". It's all just personal preference with what type of experience you want! 😄
Its right next to Mr Sanchos! Because they have a water slide, and their pools are more kid friendly, Play Mia gets a lot more young ones, Mr Sanchos is for those who are a little older, and appreciate better food, and alcohol drinks! Also if the port is really busy, and your crew are adults, you can try Nachi Cocom also next to Mr Sanchos, which is all inclusive, and limits the amount who enter to around 135 people a day a day!

Mr. Sanchos all the way!!! love it there !
Loved Mr. Sanchos!
Congratulations on 5000!
Mr. Sancho's is our favorite, always a great time and reasonable price.
Mr. Sancho all the hands downs.
Been to both several times, I prefer Mr. Sancho's. Excellent service.
Playa Mia being more family oriented means that between the two, Mr. Sanchos is the one for me. I’ll be down there Nov 2 (cruise is Oct 30 to Nov 4).
You can book Playa Mia directly through them and just take a Taxi. It is $17 each way and you get more time

Is the aqua park ok for kids that don’t know how to swim if wearing a life vest?
i’m going to mr sanchos this week
Ok, so did you take a cab back? What time did you need to be back if you didn't take the ride that comes with the excursion?
Are umbrellas included at Mr Sanchos?
You said you would tell us which one u like better but you didn’t lol but sounds like it was Mr Sanchos

How do the beaches compare? I saw a short clip of chankaannaab. The rock edge vs zero entry water makes my mom mind nervous. What's playamia.

Why are you playing music in the background of this video when we already can't hear you?
Thanks for the video...but I was trying to read your shirts
To some it's just water to me it's home ... is what's on his shirt .
Awesome
You must when on a bad day because it's lots of places to seat.
Which port is this?
kaystarlo Cozumel
You can always get a taxi at Mr. Sancho. When I was on the Princess Regal we we're there from 10am-10pm.
Mr Sanchos is better BECAUSE they have limited seating. They often sell out. You won't get overwhelmed by too much people.
I wa sin your last vlog 🤣
