People who hated Terroriser for saying this really didn't get the point. He pointed out how some people were easily getting OP stuff first hand into the server and that there's favoritism with the admins. He does make a fair point, considering most of the guys were tryharding the Purge server way too much. The Purge was created so people can have fun, but the fun gets ruined when few people are given good stuff by admins, hell even Nogla got banned for goofing around, which strengthens Brian's point? The main point here was how the Purge server got boring coz people tryhard way too much instead of having fun, no skill issue involved.
I ran into a similar problem being in an SMP as well. I don't believe they spawned in powerful items for players but they spawned a too big map with each person claiming a territory. The goal was to fight each other over territory but no one fought because it was too spread apart and way too many one people countries just living life. So when the reboot happened, I suggested to group randos together to cause more conflict. Reason they hated that was because they didn't want people to feel uncomfortable. In an SMP who's main purpose was to take over lands and cause wars.
Didnt take long for the purge server to die off, same thing happened last time. It was fun for all of a month and then people moved on. Half the people playing on the server arent even uploading content from it cause they made it even more boring this time around. The only good thing about season 1 was Schmeg and that got old fast
Brine is very underrated. How has this man not reached 5M subs yet :( he’s constantly putting out content, he’s a big personality in the Vanoss crew, he’s real at times. I think Brain is becoming my favorite member of the Vanoss crew (was wildcat). Regardless, can we get this man to at least 5m subs? He deserves so much more recognition from the community.
Honestly I agree, I remember I started a server with my friends and one of my friends friend was sweating so hard in a simple game that he was already mining for diamonds while I am over here making a base and stuff, worst part is that he kills me for no reason and I can’t do anything because he has op armor and weapons. He really killed the vibe and the whole point of the server. He stopped later on cause he said it was boring, yeah I wonder why
I remember a friend of mine had a server. Everyone was on every day because they were too scared to explore the nether. I went in made a few cobble stone forts, made easy access to some fortresses and castles. Soon after they were able to get stuff from the nether that was needed to set up an afk piglin farm that gave them just about everything they needed in the game. Server died shortly after that.
These are all great points and wonderful ideas to implement. - No TP during the Purge (Or simplified to Only /spawn since that doesn't do anything.) - No AFK pads. (Other servers have that implemented) - No XP farms, unless you find a dungeon spawner. (If you find a dungeon spawner, then you should be able to use it. This also encourages exploration, as they're not easy to come by.) - No breaking Bedrock. (Or just Nether Roof. HermitCraft S8 and S9 makes a reason to break bedrock and have a few laughs because it. Check out Grian's or Mumbo's POV.) - And finally, Admins don't give players stuff.
@@BenSpace buddy took shots at the crew, like they were admins 🤣 he clearly has never seen crew pixelmon or crew craft, and has no background knowledge of the servers problems
The big problem I have seen with the server and why I stopped watching content for it is because of how unbalanced the server is. It's no fun when people die in a hit with OP weapons, or can't die from normal players who have items that should be good.
There is a mod that increases the nether size too the new build limit. And yes it makes it impossible to build in the roof. Afk farm are very unfair to be honest and does make it boring in a multiplayer server. So I can understand why he's mad about it
I'm honestly with Brian on this one, when it comes to a video game, even in PvP, I would prefer the games to be enjoyable and long-lasting. But the main problem of this is the players themselves. Much like Brian's examples, you get people who are barely on the game and all of a sudden they have the god-tier stuff already before anyone else and can't be killed. Sure people can argue that it's a mechanic or some thing in the game that people really like to use, but the thing is did you really have to use it? You're gonna put in as little work as possible just to get all the god-tier stuff already while everyone else is working their ass off and get barely anything? As for the unobtainable stuff, I can also agree on him with that. Sure if you're gonna use it for fun before the actual event then sure go ahead but just don't ruin everything. This is literally an issue with a lot of PvP games and I just hate that.
I'm 50/50 on this one. I agree, but also not. It all boils down to "Free Will", I exercise my right to be a noob, and the experts exercise their right to flex their professionalism.
@2:04 He has a point cause I've been rewatching the purge server through sp33dy POV and poopie69poopie didn't have all that extra enchantment stuff and basically only got there to do little bits for his channel for the second half. It's kinda disheartening and demotivating when you put all those hrs in just to get one swiped by someone who's only been on a handful of times
Eh maybe the admins and members should have got together and made a list of banned items (Eg the stuff admins give you and maybe even the netherite armour/have the purge be done in stages where you can use different tools in each stage until finally being a big throw down? Idk. Just seems there’s a lack of communication/lack of organisation.) That and is brits/Irish folk do love a good ol’ moan sometimes :P
it seems like they just need a list of banned items and commands on purge day. the goofy OP items like the stick kryoz had is fine during normal gameplay, but to just give someone an insane advantage like that and to not limit it in some way is an oversight.
See, this is why I never enjoy competitive stuff with people I don't know very well. Unless you know they're about fun and nothing else, it becomes a boring sweatfest that sucks the fun out of it.
The thing about Minecraft I feel like a lot of people forget is that it's meant to be taken slowly, I know for the purge you're kind of needing to rush so you can survive and protect your base and all that, but I ain't sure what the rules were, if you were offline during the event would your base be free gain to raids or even being destroyed? If not then that should at least give you a reason to take your time, and actually feel rewarded for your hard work.
A bit late but when you watch videos like KYR speedy or even their streams not even more than seven people are on the server. So it makes you wonder how when it comes to purge day, everyone’s all suited up for like the only event that matters and not everyone wants to grind. I mean it’s fine if some don’t do it but it’s only fair If it is somebody of your group and does a little bit of grinding or tries to do something interesting with the Server, because otherwise, what’s the point of the server?
I completely agree with Brian it’s freaking stupid that someone is literally as powerful as Zeus and barely works yet brian and all them have f all like it is stupid and honestly if Brian says something to marcel he should say that certain people should be banned from the next purge server like when it comes to that it’s so stupid
The second purge server feels like a movie sequel that isn’t as good as the first movie & what Brian describes here is a good example, hopefully the next purge server will be better
I honestly don't even feel like this is a server only thing either. Ive experienced similar things just playing normally with friends. Like get this. My friends would literally always complain that they would lose loot when they died. Since we all first started playing Minecraft that would happen. So eventually I turned keep inventory on..and the term "noob mode" was born. Acting like i was the one who said lets turn it on or like i was complaining whenever i died. Did this fix the issue? No, it made it worse. Cause now while complaining i had "noob mode" on well now its just a fuckin slaughter house. Literally sometime when we played doing something as simple as building would get interrupted by getting killed. It woulf always devolve into a free for all by day 3 in game. And i tried starting a server, i had friends i played with on pc and friends on xbox. And it was getting tiring jumping around worlds just to play with everyone. So i started a realm, rules, a "society" type of deal going on. Good fun. I didn't invite my buddies from my home console (play station) for over a month. They never knew. Mainly cause if they had been there they would have gotten bored within an hour and started killing everyone. So before i unleashed the plague for lack of a better term. I let my other friends build up bases and resources. Tbey had afk and XP farms. I didn't care cause we had a legitimate economy so the guys who were like enchanting gods sold their enchantments. It was a great system had legitimate money and could trade it in with me for valuables. And nothing crazy not like entire sets of enchanted netherite or anything more like a few chunks of netherite but you gotta find diamonds and refine all resources yourself kinda deal. Well the plague joins and sure enough they run around for an hour build some wood cubes get bored and start in fighting. Then they start trying to kill the other guys. And guess what happened next. They start complaining about not having resources and how i should give it to them so they can catch up. And i told them, you either find them yourselves or start working so you can buy it. Everyone here earned it. They complain more, then they try to raid my base thinking i had a stockpile of goods (literally just admined into creative and popped out the stuff bought) and they began accusing me of hiding shit from them. So i told them again to earn it or work for it. 3 out of the 2 left, the one that stayed got working and realized it took 45 minutes to work up enough money for a pre-built base (id make them while they worked) a starter set of resources and equipment (sword axe pickaxe iron, and full set of chain armor along with a few half stacks of food, wood, stones and sticks) and you would be able to start finding your own stuff easier within an hour. That hour they spent jumping around and building half finished wood cubes could've have gotten them 6 hours of worked goods. And heres the kicker, the spawn area is an introduction to the realm and the job bored is right in front of you with the different jobs, wages and special earnings. It was unmissable. But because they have the give me now or fuck you mentality they missed out on one of the greatest servers i ever ran. The one who stuck around ended up becoming our servers wood guy, he bought a section of land near my base i had cleared out for a project that i never got around to and made and artificial forest to start a lumber industry.
Everytime anyone does something like this I immediately think what did you expect? It should always be assumed to ban the grind or lame strats and stuff at the start, people will always do this if they can
I'd say, something like breaking bedrock too an extent is fair, especially since the only useful thing is just exploring (if we rule out farms like gold farms). Minecraft is a game that benefits from being exploited (and mojang knows but doesnt do much unless it's really exploitive like duping for good reasons) as it opens new ways to play the game. Limiting it kinda defeats the purpose of a sandbox game. Though of course, there should be hard limits like no exp farms. I think the issue really boils down to the admins needing to set hard rules since everyone plays differently. One person likes to build, another likes to grind, etc, it's their job to make sure that content is easily made/quality control and that progress isn't happening too quickly. I love grinding and getting the best of the best, but when I play with friends I like to just back off a bit, continue the grind, but try to do some redstone, or build, or do something so i'm not like "haha, i now have 12591251 diamonds or w.e." Hermitcraft does a great example of that, no one really goes for elytras in a single day and do all this and that, let it ease in and slowly over the course let them do what they want. Doc is doing some insane exploiting redstone stuff, scar is building like insane, etc, etc. The admins (and the purge community) need to come to a consensus to make content together and approach at least the beginning slowly. Also everything Brian said is true (besides the not exploiting part, I still think that in of itself is content WITH regulations in place from the community), admins especially need to take responsibility and maturity to ensure smooth and quality content production.
My family does the nether roof stuff but that's a personal non pvp server, but the purge server was so boring with the try hard TP shit and cheating is so lame, people should be playing for fun not to win if that makes sense, this isn't eSports it's fuckin Minecraft
This purge was so wack, people were so sweaty, some guys like from the Crew (kyrspeedy and those) and the Bonsai bros gang (amongst others) couldn’t even die. They had the craziest weapons, and armor, they literally had infinite emeralds and still felt the need to be sweaty? The purge literally felt like an hour of blowing sht up and that’s it, no story behind it, no interactions, no revenge, no real fights, it was boring af because of these sweatlords.
Half the reason the server is as popular is because the crew and those who were with the crew. They played the most and each member grinded in specific areas to get those infinite emeralds
The Crew MAKES the server as every server they are on with their content, if you don't like the hours they put in and are gonna penalize them for their years of knowledge than don't invite them lmaoo Oh yeah I forgot, most people wouldn't even watch like myself if it wasn't for their presence so they can't just not invite them lmaoo
@@NykGaming People watch the Purge to see teams killing each other, not every player standing at spawn doing nothing because one team is somehow untouchable within the first day the server opens.
And remember when everyone was going against PeteZeHutt or whoever that guy is. A sweatlord that won’t even die and his sweaty crew as well with advanced comms or whatever. I just wish that they don’t invite those sweatlords.
I'm mixed. I do agree with him, but unfortunately, that's just the norm nowadays for games. EVERYONE and their mother needs to be a sweaty as possible and get every minor advantage they can.
There are other people complaining about the same things. It does make sense. Where's the fun in having literally everything handed to you and then killing everybody without doing anything for it? the mods were handing out things that made the game incredibly unfair. To people that barely even played on the damn server. That's just not fair to the people who put in hours of their lives to even get a fraction of what those people had. He brought up a complaint. Other people must have agreed because they took it into consideration and made it a rule. There's nothing wrong with speaking up and wanting things to be fair. If you have a problem, do what a grown adult does, and say it. Like Brian. Sometimes it takes someone who's willing to stand up and say shit, that other people are too scared to. Just because those people are scared of confrontation and are scared to ask for their needs to be met. Brian just stood up and said shit that a lot of other players were probably feeling but to scared to rock the boat about.
I think its bc maybe just maybe, Brians crew (wildcat and them) don't like Minecraft just plain and simple, I have been watching speedy and have been laughing my ass off every video he uploads, maybe its just me but I think that's why it never lasts specifically for brian and the rest of the vanoss crew, plus he doesn't really socialize other than his own crew.

Those people you mentioned played a ridiculous amount to get everything they have. Nothing wrong at all with what any of them did
The Crew MAKES the server as every server they are on with their content, if you don't like the hours they put in and are gonna penalize them for their years of knowledge than don't invite them lmaoo Oh yeah I forgot, most people wouldn't even watch like myself if it wasn't for their presence so they can't just not invite them lmaoo
Wow he really is brine
I'm mixed. I do agree with him, but unfortunately, that's just the norm nowadays for games. EVERYONE and their mother needs to be a sweaty as possible and get every minor advantage they can.
That just creates a toxic environment then
@@thegamingkirby8696 Oh yeah, I completely agree, I just try not to get worked up about it because that's unfortunately the norm.
Seems like everyone is having fun besides terroriser and wants to change everything to suit only him
Or he wants people to play the game and not get everything for free
Dude people we given God rods knockback sticks
Literally the opposite. 🤣🤣🤣
When the sweat lord complains about other sweat lords
I think its bc maybe just maybe, Brians crew (wildcat and them) don't like Minecraft just plain and simple, I have been watching speedy and have been laughing my ass off every video he uploads, maybe its just me but I think that's why it never lasts specifically for brian and the rest of the vanoss crew, plus he doesn't really socialize other than his own crew.
It's easy to laugh when you're watching it from the pov of the op person, but it doesn't mean it's fun for everyone else
You mean sweat lord Speedy?
"I have a great old time watching the videos by the team with the most op weapons and armor killing and destroying everything, don't know why the others don't seem to be having a good time."
@@octo1129 if you think speedy was the OP person, you have never watched his POV, he is a troll and a builder, he is there for content and hanging out with people. literally every server that speedy plays on he takes his time getting "rich" in minecraft because he truly feels like the faster people get everything the more boring it gets. You have ZERO idea about anything besides what people tell you. shut your mouth when it comes to shitting on speedy and the crew.
@@willfanofmanyii3751 don’t hate the playa, hate the game 😎
Blud is mad about others being better than him at minecraft 💀
Wow why is he whinging so much??? It's just a server to have some fun he makes it sound so much sweatier than it actually is. If he wanted to have a better experience maybe go talk to others and socialise??? The Purge is meant to be an hour of fucking around after weeks of playing Minecraft.....
He’s basically saying what’s the point in having fun when people can be lazy assholes and get godtier stuff like legit look back at some of the streams like 5 guys at one point had god like weapons and armor and they were never on the server to begin with plus they wanna sweat there dicks off and be toxic buttholes etc
@@GraveyardGhoul98 its got much worse now tho hasn't it with all the mods added to the server. PS if people that aren't ever on the server are getting god tier weapons just do the same thing instead of complaining :)
I agree, he doesn't really sociallize with people he hasn't met compared to other people in the server.
Oh he does that on stream talks to some people like real life folk 1 min of chatting and going off their own way to grind
@@Inweezybro he is the most social out of him all
Lmao git gud
Seems like Brian just needs something to whine about every time hes on a mc server no matter what it is. Like how when he cried cause lanae was playing more than him he threw a fit. Now hes doing this? I can see why no other youtubers wanna really play with him anymore cuz all he does is rage and whine when he plays something. Wont be long til another #deadchannel
Grow the fuck up you 9 year old tell me you haven’t seen the other steams that people we’re doing where they had god like weapons and armor and they barely logged on to the server how is that whining he’s addressing the problem with the server you dilhole don’t believe me watch his streams you can see this in action and then tell me he’s just whining to whine and also i looked at your channel where are your videos HUH where are they huh you wanna talk shit about brian and yet you don’t have a single video shut up and sit in the corner you brat
Imagine being this sad bruh, really pathetic
🤡
Oh be quiet
Terroriser has a point though, it’s never fun if everyone is not playing the purge to get items, then suddenly being the most powerful player ever. No fun. I agree with Brian
Been watching the guys Love enough to see brian is the BIGGEST SWEAT LORD, makes constant excuses where as hed sweat his ass off for content, not everything is content,
It is when it's a sever made for content cause guess what this is their job
