Fast for 8 stories in general especially hydraulic :) And it's a *great* lift!
i enjoyed the speed as well.
These elevators are pretty epic
this is one of the coolest sets of Dover hydros ive seen
Same here. These are really cool.
@@stlelevators i love the pitch of the motors. it has that really particular sound that only some older Dovers have. sounds like the ones from the 60s on NEA Elevator’s channel before they were modded. has an almost “rattly” sound to them (in a good way!) if that makes sense lol
Sounds like the 7 STORY HIGHDRAULIC Montgomery Elevators at the Double Westminster, CO same Motor Pitch!!
For some odd reason, I think of McDonald's when I watch your intro card. ;P
Perhaps because of the STL Arch, since McDonald's has the golden arch, or since Jason and Andrew meet up all the time and Andrew is always going to McDonald's.
@@Jamestube8439 Good point. Hawhawhaw! :D
@@chasem8491 Lol
The left elevator sounds like streight garage. But the cabs on these elevator aren't really that bad.
Nice E-flat pitched motor on the right elevator!
that is the epitome of hydraulic elevators.
At the very beginning, there's a set of doors with a table blocking them, wonder where those went to.
woah, hydrulic???
The shaft sounds seem much older than the fixtures look... if that makes any sense whatsoever... ha!
Not bad elevators
Uh oh... Jason's been baaaaad...
Where’s the machine room for the third elevator (the one with the brand new floor indicator)?
I’m not sure. I think it’s back behind a locked door.
@@stlelevators andrew has done a hotel tour here there is a howard johnson in in nashville
submersible power units sound terrible, likely worn bearings, armature might be running out of balance. Sounds like a great deal of vibration. I am a bit surprised traction elevators were not installed, being a hotel. Eight floors for a hydraulic elevator is pushing it.
Yeah, but that's Dover for you.
@@stlelevators Any idea what's up with the left glass elevator? Sounds like its gonna go into a nuclear meltdown state.
Those are dry powered
0:51 what was the issue?

I believe Dover is known for their high hydraulic elevators. Those are epic! I know of a dover Impulse high hydraulic that over heated and caught fire.
How?
What happened
The 2nd elevator has a terrible door operator, wow that is loud, also it seems like these are relay controlled.
fixing that door operate would help.
@@SamSitar Yeah, it's really loud and annoying.
A roped hydraulic elevator
Nice elevators, but ouch, that left one is crying desperately for help. Also the indicator on the back one looks absolutely horrendous and disgusting... Reminds me of one of those Generic UK mod indicators.
It has the bird chirp
This is so fast for hydraulic must be traction. Is the 3rd elevator's indicator original or replacement by some fucking generic company???
The third was a replacement. The original one probably broke.
@@stlelevators OK but new one looks very nice.
Yikes, that pump is in bad shape.
it's probably very tired.
These are no worse then the elevators at the clarion inn at lake buena Vista Florida
THAT'S A TRACTION ELEVATOR
and your proof?
That’s not traction lol.
I found a 8 floor Dover hydro that was almost twice as fast as this one but it was really low on oil, which is terrible for the pump.
