This girl rocked Knots Landing ! I am soooo glad they brought her back after the Ciji character was killed off. The viewers were so pissed that the producers of Knots called her to come back as another character Cathy Geary.
But how the writers wrote her character back in as Cathy Geary was a knock on the head and how Gary's expression was when she came in the hotel room as I can recall correctly.
I think she has one of the most beautiful renditions of the song she has such an amazing voice I really am surprised she really didn't take off in her vocal artistry career.... I would love to see so much more of Lisa Hartman especially on the Hallmark Channel🥰⚘❣

It was a fun and exciting time for American musicians and music fans. The music of that time from Journey has a timeless quality and can certainly be appreciated and enjoyed by anyone of any age! :)

I always prefer the original to a cover,but I actually like Lisa Hartman's version better than Journey's (from that same year) and MUCH better than Mariah Carey's version. Lisa Hartman has an amazing singing voice, right up there with Toni Tennille,Olivia Newton-John,Melissa Manchester,and the late great Donna Summer. Another great Ciji performance was Ginger's song ("Yes,it's you,you're the one..."). Many have commented about it. Ginger isn't a bad singer, but I do agree that Ciji was better.
Remember when she played the grown up Tabitha from the Bewitched series...and her grown up brother Adam was also on the spin-off. Before Knots Landing, of course!

The murder of Ciji was so shocking because this was before spoilers, tv boards and the internet. One minute you have Ginger singing and then next the slow reveal of Ciji dead body in the ocean. I miss the 80’s and the cliffhangers.

Lisa's voice is lovely, the vocal is good as is the performance - I just wish she would sing in time with the music, it is very off putting. Of course, which is normal for movies and series, this performance is lip synced.
