Good episode guys! Obviously I’m missing the entire point of the message in trying to highlight the polarized/fringe topics, but cool to see Elder Bryant a proponent of WO that he is convicted is biblically supported. 😂 When will you bring back Tim Jennings??
I would love to see Tim Jennings back on again. He's diagnosed clearly the issues within Adventism which I believe ties into the same prejudicial, critical spirit that inhabited the Jews before and during the first advent of Christ.
Digging down and working through our differences IS extremely difficult. Coming into accord at Pentecost took more than a weekend retreat and issues have gotten MORE complicated with time, not less. It’s hard, hard work, seeking what they sought, the forebears of our church, both ancient and recent. A church could almost be forgiven for just throwing its hands up in the air and claiming it impossible and “waiting on the Lord in study and prayer”. Almost.
I have felt the painful polarization in the heart of my local church. I have seen changes, which are evidences of the working of the Holy Spirit, increasing expressions of love for every person with all their differences. I agree with Pres. Bryant
33:44 We don't make church decision's on principle! Principles can be arbitrary, subjective, and prone to change based on the social, cultural, and economic environment. We make decisions on what the Bible says, the Bible alone!
Whoa! "Do what the church has voted"? It is more than the 28 FBs. The world church has voted against WO several times. Why the NAD president going against?
The I have been shown that no man's judgment should be surrendered to the judgment of any one man. Your error was in persistently maintaining your private judgment of your duty against the voice of the highest authority the Lord has upon the earth.-Testimonies for the Church 3:492.
The North American church is completely out of touch with the church in the global south. Basically, out of touch with the majority of its own members. Also men seem more concerned than women tbh. Very few women, in the real world, have the time to be pastors. It's impossible. Unless family structures are completely upended and women pastors are supported by stay at home husbands who raise the kids and clean house, forget it. It's not possible. And it's not important.
33:24 Ah, the magical, elusive "middle". Everyone thinks they're the sane ones who have found the middle.
Much respect for this man’s responses and attitude.
I'm expecting the same split the Methodists experienced. Anyone else?
Can't wait...sick and tired of worldly/progressive/liberal ideologies misrepresenting the word of God and destroying our church

Great way to end off this series. I’ve been energized as well.
Thank goodness Anthony is out. I feel the healing from division beginning.

20:26 let me guess, he's going to say there will be a "shaking".
😂 yep.
The wheat and the tares will grow together. Can you expect unity in amoung wheat and tares?

As the man said, let the wheat and the tare grow together. We will know which is which when it is time for harvesting
