Hiya mate make sure you check that all the components are rust proof. I paid a professional caravan maintenance company to fit my tanks and I wish I'd done it myself as they ignored all my requests and brought the pipes through in a random area and most annoying was they used bare metal jubilee clips and didn't treat the support braces so I had rust everywhere within 6 months. I've replaced most of it with stainless but had to lump on the rust eater. Great job.
Cheers chap.. as i just said to Yoz, they were well worth the money and really decent quality. I would 100% recommend them. Hopefully the level gauge kit works 😅😄
Cracking Job Ben, ya make it look easy..... 😀 I’m putting the gas underslung tank where you put the water tank. My water tank is inside the boot/Garage. I ordered same waste tank as per your recommendation, 👌looking forward to the gas tank next..... 👍
Cheers matey 👌🏻 funny thing is I ordered my LPG tank to go where my bog water tank is now 😅 i didn't realise it was going where its gone 🤦🏼♂️ think I'll be losing the spare wheel space to an LPG tank 🙄
@@BejamVan love all the rock stuff, but that UA-cam music halfway through the video. Sorry man that just me being picky after search UA-cam for hours on van conversions lol
nice vid thanks dude. One question - isnt the idea with the crappy plug connection that if you drop the tank to clean it you can just un-plug electrical connection? How do you do that now without cutting wire?
Many thanks Ben, very clear video - I learned a lot. Can you tell me why the inspection hole for the waste is on the top of the tank whilst the inspection hole for the fresh water is on the bottom? Other people seem to have done the same as you but my little brain is flummoxed - many thanks
Hey Alistair, thanks mate.. personally I put the inspection hatch at the top as I was worried about it leaking but I'm not sure why others have done the same. I'm not sure it would matter if you stuck it on the bottom 👍🏻
Hey Joel, sorry for the late reply mate. It was from a company called CAK Tanks, apologies if they are no longer available.. it was a while I made this video 🤦🏼♂️ It was specially for a crafter or sprinter but they did a variety of different Tanks for various vans. I'll have a look into it to see if I can find anywhere else that does similar tanks 👌🏻
@@BejamVan no worries mate! I've done a little research now and looks like I'll probably need to DIY mine a bit. I'm working with a mwb mk7 transit so don't think there's anything specific for mine.
I spent months trying to find a tank that fit that exact area by the spare tire. Gave up and ended up building my own PVC tank. Great idea, there's only a couple folks out there building these tanks with low center of gravity considered! Do you have any slosh issues stopping/going? I'll have a flat 40gal right above this built into my floor below my bed, with the weight centered above rear axle.
Hey man, nothing at all with regards to sloshing. You wouldn't even know the tank is there even when full. I guess as you say its really low in the van and right by the axle in the centre. Perfect place 👌🏻😁
Awesome video man! Can I ask why you have your water inlet/fill cap mounted so high on the van? Would it be possible to have the filler cap lower to remove the need to have the hose going through the van floor?
Cheers dude 🤘🏻 To be fair I have thought about this.. there's nowhere on the van itself where I could mount it lower without drilling through the chassis or structural supports on the van walls 😅 other than that, I could of mounted the cap in the floor of the garage but I didn't want to be opening the van doors and letting the heat out while filling up.. so the decision was to put it where it is now 👀🤙🏻

was thinking the same, total rip off, even the script haha.
Really happy with the tanks and how this video came out.. let me know what you think 😁

Tank kit no longer available on you tube? Was is specific to your van? With the fresh tank fitting neatly in that space between diff and spare tyre.

These cross members welded to the chassis. Are you sure is OK to use them?
Hey Mark, Sorry for the late reply.. I've only now seen your comment.
My tanks are still holding up well so I can't see any issues mate 👍🏻😊

Did u make those brackets or buy them ??
Hey mate, they came with the water tank kit 👍
Absolute carbon copy of Greg Virgoe..... 🤣
Duno what you're on about 😉😆
Greg didn’t do the fresh water tank gauge so 10/10
