Assuming this comment was for a different video? Maybe the camper deck build? If so. Yes good point. It was too small. Most tables and griddles and such had to be lifted above the railing.
@@homestead_diy my bad idk how this happen lol yes definitely meant for different video. She screened in her porch and the door was barely big enough for her to fit through lol
Totally get where you are coming from. This wasn't my land at this time. Although, once he started clearing it and listed it for sale, we bought it. Didn't want someone moving in right next to our house. I wish that tree was still there. There were lots of cardinals that lived in that tree...
This is one of the worst ways to reclaim land. It’s fast, but forest mulchers create a huge mess and mulching cedars destroys soil and raises ph to extraordinary high levels that will take tons of lime to repair. Because the roots are left, all those weeds, brush and some trees will regrow. It’s better to rent an excavator and dig the tree and root ball out to burn.
@@homestead_diy I only speak from experience. I bought a CTL with a FAE head and went to town but created a massive mess that’s taken a few years and more money to fix. Nice that you bought the land!
Gotta guess you've not seen what a man-portable brushcutter with one of the better mulching blades can do, with periodic passes over resprouts to quickly emulsify them. You might be amazed. Search "Oregon mulching blade" for either of the two versions. Then too, there's good reason NOT to burn all the organic debris, and to return it to the soil, but you know better.
@@jacquesblaque7728 I do know better cause I speak from actual experience. I’m guessing you’re just an armchair commentator. I cleared a little over 1400 acres of my own property this way. I regraded the land in the process and after 6 years there’s no regrowth. I rented the same mulcher for $24k a week and my soil ph was totally destroyed for three years. I had to keep dumping lime to bring it back. Whatever you speak of, sounds like extraordinary physical labor and waste of time.
@@zfilmmaker You guess very poorly also. I gave you a simple search string so you could see just how far off your assumption of "extraordinary" labor is. Have fun in your bubble. Out
Looks great!!! I hope you can fit the patio stuff through the narrow looking door

Those forestry mulchers are beasts. Even small trees. But if seed is already on the ground its cutting and management for a few years.
Since we ended up buying that property we just cut it like our yard. But yes the parts that we don’t regularly cut have became very overgrown
Deja Tunnel
Thanks for watching.
I would have been more worried about flying shrapnel before worrying about getting ran over
Yeah. I was kinda shocked he was just standing around the machine.

I can't argue with you. This was my neighbor's land (at the time). We have bought it since. I would have left it rather wooded.
