I don't know if I've ever been really loved by a hand that touched me... Whatever instrumental you wanna put them to, these lyrics are fucking amazing.
The band played excellently here. Rob is awesome but the band really shines here. That piano is got that ragtime feel. I love it. Also Adam was super underrated.
This just confirmed my beliefs. I’ve always been a Pat green fan (country singer). Just recently found out that he co-wrote the song “Barbie doll” with Rob Thomas, as soon as I heard it, I thought of Rob Thomas singing it and it just clicked. And reminded me of a MB20 song. Random thought, lol
Gerald Eubanks, My friend Danny Bonomo from my baseball game loves Matchbox Twenty especially Rob Thomas. He’s been a fan of the group ever since he was born.
AGREE! I went and saw Rob and the band last year for the history of everything tour went to the Tampa FL show have loved this band ever since I was 7 finally gotten the chance to go see them live amazing experience.
I was thinking this reminded me of another song. Then when I listened to this version about the 4th or 5th time. My brain went singing in my head...."I'd I had a million dollers"
Wow this was totally unexpected!! Acoustic guitarist looks like bob dylan sometimes in this vid at least This is how you sing it years after the problem you were singing it about has been long gone
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucking gooooooood baaaaaaand!!!! I love iiiiiit!!!!
I love those too! Rob has some great songs that He's done on his solo album too. He's an amazing & talented writer! I think my favorites are, MB20: "Unwell" & R.T. solo: "Her Diamonds" I love ALL of their songs though! It's pretty difficult to choose favorites.
I don't think MB20 sounds country. But every once and awhile one of the lyrics Rob sings for the band or solo is a word or phrase that is more commonly used in the south. That's the only way I could see it as being a "southern band".
I love you and I change I know that I'm not ever gonna get you out of my head and I'm a fucken basket case right now and I hope that I'm not alone in this world of people who have never been waiting for my one who loves me to because we have been waiting for one another for so long that you can't believe it is really a part of your past life that you have been waiting for my life has been a lost dream since I can remember it always been so much better when I first saw him and I never forget
I'm sorry, I don't like this version. It feels there's not all of the emotion that there was in the first song. Also u don't like country. Don't get me wrong, I love the original Push and Matchbox Twenty, but just not this one.
Rob though he was real cute. No sir! 🤣 They need to slow the song down and give it traditional country tempo (mmpop mmmpop) That would make that pansy song country enough. 🤣🤣
I don't know if I've ever been really loved by a hand that touched me...
Whatever instrumental you wanna put them to, these lyrics are fucking amazing.
As a poet who wishes was muscian yes.
I always thought this version was better than the original. And I still do. Amazing job...
No way!!!!! Good but not better
@@krakenhits1587 The original is so emotional. Just an amazing song.
Still rocking this in 2024! MB20/Rob….BEST EVER!❤
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you sell a crossover song. Kudos, boys. Nice job! 👏🎸😉
When a pop band does country better than most current country bands.
Pop rock.
Yep
I remember getting this DVD and being so amazed by this....a band doing a cover of their own song. Nerdily watched it way too much. ❤
My friend Danny Bonomo from my baseball game loves Matchbox Twenty especially Rob Thomas.
It's 2020 and I'm still playing MB20. Always
Best band ever! Will forever be my favorite 😍🎼
The band played excellently here. Rob is awesome but the band really shines here. That piano is got that ragtime feel. I love it. Also Adam was super underrated.
I need more of this in my life.
Twitty! Cash! Legends. Glad to hear him credit them as inspirations.

I love those too! Rob has some great songs that He's done on his solo album too. He's an amazing & talented writer! I think my favorites are, MB20: "Unwell" & R.T. solo: "Her Diamonds" I love ALL of their songs though! It's pretty difficult to choose favorites.
Have you heard "I don't wanna be lonely no more"? I also love "How far we've come"
You know! We're facing hard times here in Venezuela and his songs bring good memories to my mind and soul and heart. It makes be feel more possitive.
3:15 my motto for life
So disappointed I missed you guys coming to Sydney back in 2012, any chance of another tour down under??
: Nothese
: Mother and father of the other co
That was awesome 😂😂😂 “then there is this song”
matchbox twenty is dying its sad a beautiful and amazing band has not been paid attention lets all support them
Um, they’re alive and well. They toured in 2017.
Wow this was totally unexpected!!
Annie😍😘😘😘 LOVE IT guys!!! 😀👍👌💋
Anyone know he was on acid during this set?
I don't think MB20 sounds country. But every once and awhile one of the lyrics Rob sings for the band or solo is a word or phrase that is more commonly used in the south. That's the only way I could see it as being a "southern band".
Publish Bent from Storytellers! =D
This is how Counting Crows would play this song if Adam decided to cover it
Seems like such a cool guy
20+ years after the original performance and i still can’t quite get into this version. I think the tempo just felt a little off for me.
Anything can be done country, I just saw metallica do the 4 horsemen acoustically, real music sounds good no matter how it's done.
I was wondering COuld I just be you. when is the next one coming??? Do you need help? I can make myself available :)))
ONE OF MY FAVORITE. GEORGIA PEACH SPEAKING.
I loveeee it!! Btw, when was this?
Águeda Coronado Vázquez : I'm almost positive that it was 2003. I'm not 100% sure, but almost!
Bobbi Lowery Thanks!! :3
June 1st, 2001.
Damn bruh this might beat Layne Staley messing up on MTV unplugged
It’s good but would be better if they’d slow it down a bit.
If it listen to it at .75 speed it is sweet
Hi
😇🤪😎
Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas and Danny Bonomo
Good, of course. But the original speaks to my soul.
Your welcome 😃🎶👈😃🤔😏🙄
Ok:)
It doesn't feel right, it doesn't feel like you. It's good but not you!
Surprisingly not that bad!
I'm sorry, I don't like this version. It feels there's not all of the emotion that there was in the first song. Also u don't like country. Don't get me wrong, I love the original Push and Matchbox Twenty, but just not this one.
Yeah it's a weird mash up of genres. Doesn't really work with this song.
I think that it sounds great, but I agree that it doesn't have the emotional force of the original.
YES I AGREE. LACKING THE SOUL THAT ROB GIVES TO HIS SONGS. IT WAS JUST RUSHED. MB20 IS THE BEST!
Too fast. Slow it down, add some steel guitar and maybe some fiddle.
This is bitchen
I've never heard this version
Rob though he was real cute. No sir! 🤣 They need to slow the song down and give it traditional country tempo (mmpop mmmpop) That would make that pansy song country enough. 🤣🤣
the gay guy in the pink shirt looks stoned
