I am sharing with you my recipe for Şekerpare, one of the most popular sherbet desserts of the month of Ramadan, which will suit your Ramadan menu very well.
Ingredients for Şekerpare recipe:
For the syrup:
3 cups sugar
3 glasses of water
3-4 drops of lemon juice
For the dough:
3 tablespoons of butter
1 teaspoon of powdered sugar
2 eggs
3 tablespoons of semolina
1 pack of vanilla
2.5 cups of flour
1 packet of baking powder
Fabrication
First we prepare the syrup. I add 3 cups of sugar to a pot. I add 3 cups of water to it. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. When the sugar melts and our syrup starts to boil, I add 3-4 drops of lemon and after 3-4 minutes, take it off the stove and leave it to cool. While the syrup is cooling, I start preparing the dough for the dessert. I add 1 tea glass of powdered sugar, 2 eggs (I keep the yolk of one for the top), 3 tablespoons of semolina and 1 packet of vanillin to 3 tablespoons of softened butter at room temperature and mix well. I add 2.5 cups of flour and 1 packet of baking powder on it. I knead it well, shape it, arrange it on the tray and apply egg yolk on it. I bake in the oven at 170 degrees for 25-30 minutes. As soon as it comes out of the oven, I pour the cold syrup and leave it to rest for at least 3-4 hours. You can garnish it with pistachios and serve. Bon Appetit - Навчання та стиль
