- This is the fan-dubbed ‘Stage C’ at Darien IL. This is an entirely unique stage that can only be seen at Darien IL (as of posting). It features a 16 M bot, a Beta backdrop, and 3-stage curtains and stage. They replaced the three stage because the air compressor failed on it, and the air compressor they bought to replace the old one was only capable of running 1 three stage bot. So for a time only Chuck E. actually ‘worked’ at Darien in the last months of the 3-stage. The rest of the characters were entirely aired down. The failure of the compressor occurred at the perfectly wrong time for the three stage as Joliet IL’s store had closed not too far after, supplying the Beta components. The techs put two and two together and produced a budget replacement stage that costs “under $500.” The curtains are not Darien’s and they were supplied from another closed 3-stage. While I’m very glad Darien still has animation, I really wish they would have just kept the three stage wether it worked or not. The three stage will be missed and I will not forget all the good times I’ve had with it over the years.
The space behind the curtains is being used as storage. Only Pasqually’s platform remains, and nothing else is left really.

If there are any locations closing or remodeling near you, go ask if they still have it. Watch Ebay too, sometimes things pop up. And just time you go to CEC in general, ask if they have anything you can have, and if not, go dumpster diving. Or you can trade with someone who has one.

There is nothing behind the curtains. I’m personally not too partial to the stage, I’m glad they still have animation, but nothing beats a 3-stage in my opinion.

@StudioMunch- CEC & More!!! CEC doesn’t have a basement, the bots were either destroyed, or sent back to corporate for parts.
I would’ve put some use into the side stages. They could’ve always put dance floors on each side. I’d love to see that at every location. A studio c/double dance floor stage.

Noah H Both stages with curtains are empty and they have no bots. Pasqually’s stage still has the platform and the Amateur Hour backdrop however.

What are behind the other curtains?
There is nothing behind them. This is a budget 3-stage replacement and the curtains are a cheap and effective way of concealing empty stages. They also make for a neat hang out spot haha.

They should have kept the building and moon and if they have Mac valves, find something to keep the lift valve pressed down so that way they can be seen behind chuck, Even if they just stand still
I’m not sure if Darien had either of those characters when they removed the three stage. I know they removed the moon well before all of this. But yeah there’s a lot of things they could have done to make this stage better. For example, never install it and keep the three stage ahaha. I’m glad they kept animatronics, but I will forever miss the three stage.

Does anybody else notice the jaw is working like a 2 stage chuck e and not a studio c because the studio c has more jaw movemnt
The jaw here is working as intended albeit at a slower speed. 16 M Studio C bots (like this one) don’t move the top snout. 32 M Studio C bots move both the jaw and snout.

Joliet didn’t close it used to be a showbiz pizza place on Jefferson by a Kmart but when Kmart closed rats and mice infested the Chuck E. Cheese and they relocated closer to the mall but then Joliet got 2.0 so sad it was my local Chuck E. Cheese

Chuck E really seems to be in bad condition. This was uploaded 5 months ago so I assume he’s fixed now?
Cause of the shut down in Illinois, he is not currently operational. Although, I believe they fixed some problems with him before they closed again such as the weird body lean thing. I doubt this chuck will ever operate nicely although.
Hopefully once Covid really dies down the Darien location can open up again and operate Chuck E again. Even if Chuck E has some problems they can still fix them
They should’ve used the Pasqually bot, & Helen bot, the buildings & Mr building & moon will be in Helen’s stage. Or mr munch because he has a sign behind him.
RAE West Virginia They should have just kept the 3 stage in my opinion. Regardless, the problem with mixing studio c bots and other types of bots is that those extra bots need to be programmed and have specialized shows for in order for them to work. I remember talk about them wanting to keep the wink, but they couldn’t get it to work with the studio c.
@@showbizcec4985 maybe they should’ve brung an Extra DVD player for the 3 stage show Disc in order to make the Wink work.
RAE West Virginia They would have to perfectly sync up both of the systems and that would be difficult. Also if one system goes down (and that happens a lot) then they will be out of sync.

It was the tech’s idea. The Joliet store had recently closed or remodeled (I forget which) and their Studio C bot was up from grabs among stores. Darien’s three stage compressor broke and the techs were sick of working on the three stage. The timing was right, so the tech’s at Darien came up with the whole stage with this one. According to the techs, apparently this whole job costed less than $500. If Darien’s compressor had failed a year earlier it’s very likely that Darien would have been a cyber three stage today (using Skokie’s bots). Glad they still have animation either way, but I miss the three stage so much!
