Any recommendations for filing Form 990ez electronically...Who to use?
There are not a lot of choices at this point. Most people seem to be using www.tax990.com/ Another option is called Aplos, but I think it is more of an accounting system with tax filing capabilities. I haven't used any of them, but I have poked around in the tax990 system and I've reviewed a number of returns prepared using that website. Seems to work OK.
Hello if I do an expo to give business exposure it’s free to the public but the business are charged a vendor fee. Which line would I put the money I have received in vendor fees?
It depends. If the expo is part of accomplishing your organization's exempt purpose, the vendor fees would most likely go on line 2, program service fees. If the event is mainly just a fundraiser, the revenue would go on line 6b. A fundraising event, or special event, is one where the primary purpose is just to generate funds, and would not likely be conducted unless income from the event exceeds expenses.
NonprofitTaxHelp I need to charge the vendors a fee to help pay expenses of the event it self. I apply from grants and send proposals but it is often not enough. The vendor fees have help supplement
