Huh...he offered hospitality to Lumine but only to return the favor because there is "no such thing as free lunch" while Neuvillette freely offered his support for no reason other than...wanting to help.
I'm not crazy, right? There's a difference there.

@@Sturmdiaga Neuvillete is poetic. Gives support for no reason. Seems to have deep feelings.
Wriothesley is not poetic. Offers support to return the favor. Seems less attached.
      Better? 😂

@@Sturmdiaga You may have your perspective, but you gotta understand that it's different if you do something just because you feel like it or do something because you're returning a favor. It's just not the same.
And even in the Story, Neuvi seems to be far more interested in the Traveler than Wrio. Even though Neuvi has a more stoic personality.

@@Sturmdiaga Listen. I'm not saying Wrio is a bad or cold person. And yes, he was sweet to return the favor but that was not the point.
I simply said that *compared to Neuvillette* he is more detached. Which is very true. What you listed was Wrio doing his job and protecting people. And while this does show his character I'm talking about little personal things, not things he did because he felt "it was the right thing to do".
Just look at the last Archon Quest. Wriothesley did not offer to escort Traveler out of his fortress (he had to be talked into it), and he even forgot it was the Traveler's release date. Which means he doesn't think about the Traveler that much. And this can't be chucked up to Wrio just having a lesser part in the story. He had several opportunities to show that he has a strong personal attachment to the Traveler yet he never took it. Meaning...he's not that attached.
In fact, in the beginning, he outright says that he welcomes them because of Neuvillette. Contrast that to Neivillette, who accepts Traveler purely based on the Traveler's own reputation and Neuvi's favor toward them. You must see the difference, no?
Also, during the quest, Neuvillette constantly keeps the Traveler in the loop, all without needing to be told to do so. He does so freely. He even shows much concern and even smiles at them (it's a tiny smile but if you pay attention, it's there, and for Neuvillette...it's rare for him to smile).
Not to mention, when Furina storms out of Neuvillette's office she whizzes past the Traveler without acknowledging him, yet when they step into Neuvi's office he already knows that they were standing outside for a while.
So we see a strong contrast between Furina, who did not see the Traveler despite running past him, and Neuvillette, who was also in a heated discussion at that point yet he *SENSED* the Traveler standing outside even before he saw them. Again, you gotta see the difference.
Neuvi even told the Melusines what the Traveler likes to eat. No one told him to do that he just thinks about the Traveler that much and he is sensitive to his nearness and needs more than the others. And again, this is not something that has to do with his role in the story, this is something personal that has no impact on the plot.
My point is that there are very subtle hints all across the Fontaine story that show Neuvillette's strong preference for the Teaveler (on a personal level) as opposed to any other character, Wriothesley included. And this shows even in their teapot lines.

In fact...the way Neuvi's teapot line is phrased...there is a good chance that when he talks about "this world being an eggshell and prison" he's referring to Teyvat itself.
As we know, the Traveler is essentially trapped in Teyvat due to his powers being taken away, making it his prison. And somewhere in the lore of Teyvat, it's said that it was created from an eggshell.
Not just that, but from Neuvi's voice lines we know that he plans on going beyond Teyvat to fight the usurper in the skies.
So what Neuvi is saying...is that after all is said and done, and the Traveler can "break free" from the prison of Teyvat, Neuvi (once he fulfills his destiny of fighting the usurper) will be always waiting for the Traveler so they can be together beyond that world...beyond Teyvat.
*Bro...tell me that isn't the most romantic ish ever.*
This implies how Neuvi believes both he and the Traveler will accomplish their goals and be able to reunite beyond the stars at the end of their journeys.
