They should have thought about that in 2022 when Putin agreed that Ukraine could keep the Donbas. Russia hasn’t spent billions in money and thousands of lives just to give it back. The best Ukraine can hope for now is not to lose Odessa also. Then they will be land locked.

At 8:48 I am chiming in because Tim says he does not think Ukraine is going to win back the Donbas and Crimea and be forced to give up 18% of its territory. America's greatest living general, retired General Ben Hodges has repeatedly stated that if Crimea remains in Russian hands, the coastal cities of The Black Sea and The Sea of Azov will be at the mercy of the Russian navy and Ukraine will never be able to live in total security. Never be able to live in total security! Is anyone listening? Lastly, what in the world is going on for us to be talking about Ukraine giving up 1 square centimeter of land to the Russians? Are we crazy to think this would not be a tactical win for Putin and set him about planning for his next invasion? Boys and girls, when are going to realize that we have got to stop the Russians no matter what it takes?

russia is focusing more and more on the kursk oblast region....they have pulled some troops from the donbas to take on the urkaine military in that region...so thats the main reason their offensive has slowed in the donbas...they know ukraine doesn't have the man power to sustain or execute a meaninful counter offensive in the donbas...so some troops left behind are resting and regrouping themselves....this seems to be a very tough war..
