Yeah that's pretty much how it is here in Maine. Rules and regulations vary state by state (some states don't even require an inspection at all!) Here in Maine we have yearly inspections, but if the car is 25+ years old you can register it as an antique and it requires basically nothing! We can also register vehicles as "Farm vehicles" which can only be driven in a 25 mile radius of your home but requires no safety inspections at all. We also have a 'custom car' registration in Maine but I don't know much about it. Gotta have insurance though, no if ands or buts about that ;)

I did get it aligned a few weeks after I made the video (since I had put new studded tires on it) but I found marking the shims managed to keep it decently straight

i cant belive how easy it is to mod your car in my country we have to "cert" EVERY single thing. normaly checked for $500 then if "IF" it passes you get a certificate plate but you then cannot revert to factory as the car has to match the cert plate . police check for them all the time too. but lucky they aint mechanics hehe

What country are you from? That sounds pretty strict!

im in new zealand. we have a smaller younger country so they got onto it when they started mass importing Japanese imports in the 90's.
the rules and regulations are savage but at the end of the day if you have a ''CERT'' plate and papers your sweet but to get them for any modification is hard they go over everything.. even just aftermarket steering wheel needs to be on the ''CERT''

I did a re-upload, I had made a mistake when putting the front brackets in that a viewer pointed out to me! Fixed that and also re-recorded the outro since we got a bunch more snow last night haha
