Braxus Photography Fun: Innovative Audio's 2024 Garage Sale - Surrey BC / My Home Audio Hobby

I've been interested in home audio (Stereo systems) since I was a child. When I was very young I learned how to use my parents stereo system and wanted my own system some years later. Fast forward to my teens where I got introduced to better audio gear from a local mom and pop stereo store (Unruh's TV and Stereo Chilliwack). Elliot Cohen was instrumental in teaching me about good gear and what quality sound is. I started to build my own system in my late teen years. Over the decades my gear changed and I was able to get some high end gear later in the 2000s. This taught me what sound quality was like and what good gear was. I let all of my gear go the last several years due to finances. I eventually got out of audio all together since I really had nothing really good to listen on. One unit that was instrumental in letting my gear go was my Tandberg 3014A cassette deck. Once I lost it, I didnt really care for keeping what units I still had left. I feel I was blessed to be able to tell good quality sound and hear some of those subtle differences. I also feel blessed I in the past was allowed to own some really good gear. Normally my budget doesnt allow for such gear, especially today.
Recently I was needing to borrow a local friends reel to reel deck to transfer some tapes I made in my college days, so I can put one last video up on my college course projects. Nando- brought me one of his reel to reel decks, and he also lent me 1 of his 2 Tandberg 3014 decks. I really miss being able to use the 3014 and I have use of his for as long as I need to. Nando was gracious for his offer. So for the time being, I get to play with one of the best cassette decks ever made. Almost wish I didnt sell my old 3014A.
