I was truly mesmerized by your work. Thank you so much for taking your time to demonstrate this to us. I live in Nova Scotia, Canada and I would not have the opportunity to observe you working in any other way. Your "style" and attitude are absolutely delightful. I am truly glad that I got to watch you work. It will be an experience I will cherish forever. I love your accent as well by the way.
Ian is a delight to have in the Studio and all his students adore him! Thanks for watching, we hope to catch you in his Mini Workshop! 😊

was the first outline of the truck in permanent ink or water color?
😊❤
Hello 🍁hello from Canada 🇨🇦
Hi from Vancouver
Hy Myrna! We hope you enjoyed Ian's demo! 😊
Serious Question: What decisions are you making as an artist that are different from allowing a young child to put watercolor paint wherever he or she wanted? I’m trying to understand the “technique”. At least what are the titles of the “STEPS” that you are combining? (Asking since you said they were compressed). Thanks.
Good thing about Ian Fennelly, he _never_ shows you the reference he's working off of. Stroke of genius!
I wanted to see the photo but it really doesn’t matter. But…I do 😃
COOL
Such a fun class!! 🧡
Cool
Thank you! 😊
@@EtchrLab Always welcome Etchr lab
Would help to see source imagine while sketching
Hi Allie, you can print the ref photo in the description. Or open it on a different device/monitor.
😱🌻❤️❤️❤️

Where can I find the reference photo for this demonstration?
The reference photo can be found in our description! 😊
@@EtchrLab I’m sorry...I don’t know what this means...finding the ref photo in the description. Help 🤷♀️
Does Ian usually use the tomboy markers for all his preliminary drawings?
Yes, he does. He says because it mostly disappears with watercolor. The finalizes are used for permanent marks.
I think he uses tombows like others use pencils.

Surely you a close relative of physicist Brian Cox.... that accent!
I made it! calaya from ALASKA
Would have been nice to see the reference picture

I didn’t even know that Chris Pine was an artist :o
I was just about to take a snapshot of the outline so I could print it then….
💥BAMB💥 you threw a bunch of pens on the paper.

Hello! 👋

Hi, Real Person :)
Hey there! 👋
Hi
the constant shifting from dull light to brighter environment lighting was a bit annoying. But other than that; video was quite interesting.
Patience of a saint to wait for an American UA-camr to stop talking.
Vancouver island
Sad an confused as to why the thumbnail picture is different from the truck in the video. Was looking forward to seeing the thumbnail being painted. Makes ZERO sense why you would use a different painting in the thumbnail from the one in the video.
Hi there. Sorry about the confusion. But thank you for commenting about this. We will make some changes to avoid similar issues in the future.
Worrying about perspective..puts me off sketching !
Am I the only one wondering what’s going on here?
This was a great tutorial but the interviewer saying "ummm" every other sentence was super annoying!
Thank you for providing us with this feedback! - Kirsty
Hi, Ian, I love your work, I'm just getting into line and wash. Thank you for the great DEMO !! I wondered do you have a Facebook page, either Ian or Etchr?
