The LAY-Z-SPA ChemConnect device sits in your Bestway LAY-Z-SPA and dispenses Chlorine from the tablet inside so is ideal for easy hot tub treatment. Putting new tablets into the LAY-Z-SPA Bestway ChemConnect Chlorine Dispenser is crucial to maintain a healthy Spa. How to fit ChemConnect on the LAY-Z-SPA is a simple procedure, it's all about the lugs and the twist.
The Bestway LAY-Z-SPA water will only last about 3 days without any chemicals so it's important to use them. In this video I will show you how to remove the ChemConnect device, how to install a new Chlorine tablet and how to install the ChemConnect device in the LAY-Z-SPA and how to adjust the amount of Chlorine used.

This past week my chlorine tablet did not disolve and I couldnt figure out why until I watched this video. I had tightened it too much! Nope, never had an issue. The tablets take 4-7 days to slowly dissolve. And I change my filter once a week anyway (using a washed one!)
Hello! Thank you for the video. I have a 177 gallon tub that came with a ChemConnect. I keep testing and getting high chlorine levels. I had the device open enough for "one" of the notch holes. If I turn it all the way to the right and the holes are sealed off, is it still dispensing chlorine? Thank you!
I think it will be dispensing the very minimum amount of chlorine. If you think it has too much then remove the ChemConnect device for a few days and top the Spa up with some fresh tap water.
We’ve just bought a new Helsinki spa. We had a Miami a few years ago but the chlorine bleached the tiles pattern out in a few days. How are people finding bleaching with one tablet on min to max?
No problems with ours yet and it’s in its 2nd year
Hi Lurgs, very helpful videos, thanks. When using the LazySpa for the first time do you need to shock dose with granules, or will the Chem connect be enough ? Do you need to add more multifunction tablets ?
I don’t add any shock dose I just put the ChemConnect on max for the first week and that’s ok for me

So do i take the chem connect out when im in the spa and run the pump with it off,then screw it back on when i get out?I assumed you just get in with the tablet filtering in the water

Yes it does as the water flows over the tablet

@@Rob-zw5qs It will still work when it’s not on but not as effective. Floaty device is not really necessary if you have the ChemConnect

@@Rob-zw5qs With just filtration system running (not heat) it’s only about 50w so we leave ours on all day and just switch it off at night just in case the E02 pops up and starts bleeping!
My chlorine filter broke off for my hot tub can I use without it? If not how could I fix it? Thank you
You need the chlorine dispenser. If it's just the ChemConnect then get a replacement and fit that.
I can't seem to get clorine levels right done this in my miami spa with 1 tablet and chlorine levels to high
Chlorine levels take time to stabilise after adjusting the ChemConnect.
Hi, I have a Bestway St.Lucia 609l water jacuzzi, is it enough to throw one 20g tablet into the dispenser, set one hole, start the pump and do it once every 2 weeks? is this tablet supposed to be underwater for 2 weeks? do I throw in, start the pump for 3 hours and pull it out and then in 2 weeks I do it again?
Put in one tablet and leave it in there until it dissolves. Will take 4-10 days depending on what strength you select. Remember to remove the ChemConnect when you are in it
@@LurgsHowToGuides Great thanks for the quick response, i.e. if I use the spa, I pull out the chemconnect and use it. My question is whether chlorine is dosed only when the pump and filtration are on? When I finish my bath in the spa, do I put on the chemconnect, turn on the pump at night and cover the spa with a canopy?
@@keniol91 I leave filtration system on all day but turn off overnight just in case of an E02 as it starts beeping! Then yes unclip the ChemConnect before you get in, don’t force it, it’s a small twist.
Hi, when you put the chlorine in the chemconnect, you put the dosage at min or max?
When I first fill up the Spa for the first time I set it to max, then for any subsequent tablets I set it about halfway. But it's all experimentation depends how often it's used and how many people use it etc...

Maybe you haven’t got it open to the max or you are not running the filter system enough

Hi lurgs I'm putting 1tablet in a week or when run out my chlorine levels am above 5ppm high I've tried lowering the Chen connect level to nothing and still high even after waiting
