It's so cool to see the courts I play at featured here. And great choice in coffee and food spots. Hooked is probably the top 3 coffee in the city, and Maru is also great. LA is so big and you did a great job covering the west side and east side part of the city. I was hoping you somehow got access to the Goldstein court. That's the most iconic court in LA, but definitely the most exclusive.
Dayglow and Endorphin are hands down the best coffee spots, but Maru and Hooked are right up there. LA is the best coffee city in the States. The fact that you can always find a free court in such a large city and the vibes are always good makes LA a great tennis city as well. Let's pretend that little part at the end never happened 🙈
@@thekittencult Endorffeine is my #1 in LA. I've tried Dayglow a few times and was never impressed. Definitely prefer what Nicely is doing at Hooked and what he did when he was at Menotti's in Venice.
We’ve gotta talk about New York being better than LA slightly lol. Having lived in both for years…I totally agree New York has unique beautiful courts but I think I played a total of four times living there. So much effort to get a court during good weather. I play four times a week in LA! Courts across the street, joined a USTA league. Have a community of 30 plus players here now. That being said, only my experience. I love these videos and I can’t wait to see where you guys go next! 👏
I love this video especially as I’m from the UK its nice to see what courts are like in LA I’m surprised that there’s no variety in court surfaces e.g no clay courts or grass courts but the video is still amazing 🤩 10/10 from me 💖
It doesn't rain here often enough for clay or grass courts. The state is paying people to remove their grass lawns in an effort to conserve water. Because of the storms last year, we're doing alright this year, and now we're heading into the rainy season. But two years ago, we were worried we were going to run out of water. The reservoirs were close to the bottom and rivers were drying up. I'm sure there are some private grass or clay courts on some mega-millionaire estates (Pete Sampras and Serena Williams live here, after all), but they're not open to the public. The only way to find them is by looking on Google maps.
California does not have many clay courts, maybe it is too dry and windy? Florida is mostly clay courts, green clay from Virginia, easier on the joints.
Unlucky end to the trip. I recently moved to OC and the tennis experience here has been nothing short of amazing. It's crazy to see how popular tennis is here and I love it. Next time you guys are ever in OC, I'd love to hit with one of you guys. Love the work you guys do.
OMG, no way..that's Granada Park when you played with pico tennis! 16:50 I play there Sunday mornings, regreting so much not playing that Halloween weekend. Of all the courts in LA, you played at my little known one, that's crazy. Glad you visited!
Such a cool experience to watch! I'm a Socal native and actually used to live in Culver City, just down the street from those Mar Vista courts. I didn't play tennis at that time though. 😂 Hope you guys enjoyed your time!
Shout out to Mike at the LA tennis club for wearing the incrediwear knee brace! A company from a small town in Northern California!....even Djokovic wears it now.
Silvertop court looked like a dream, been wanting to hit there for a long time. You might have to do P. 2 for this vid I need to hear your review of Palisades and Cheviot hills!
Man… been subscribed from the ACTUAL beginning and honestly so happy for the success and growth dude. Keep killing it and I hope we can play a match one day😉💪🏽
Funny, just came back from a 2+ week trip in California and did the tennis tour as well hitting up 8 courts. Discovered that Cali has 36.5% of ALL tennis courts in the US ... was astounded at how easy it was to find a public court, how many there were at each facility and the fact that most of them are free! Easily the best state for tennis hands down IMO. Next time hit up Great Park in Irvine which has a 25 court venue!
How did you miss La Cienega Tennis Center? They have sixteen very well maintained courts five minutes away from the West Hollywood Park Courts. The Weho courts, by the way, are right across the street from the world famous Pacific Design Center. You'd think the courts would be well designed, right? Nope. There is a four or five inch gap between the concrete wall and the screened fence behind the courts a little above waist height. You lose at least one ball every time you play there through that gap. The fence isn't very high, so you can lose a ball over them pretty easily as well. One of the most basic things you learn in design school is how high to make a seat so that the average person can sit on it comfortably. They made the narrow benches between the courts about six inches too high so the seat edge digs into the back of your thighs if you try to sit down. The only thing the Weho courts have going for them are the price ($0), the view (priceless), and the awesome smell from a nearby steakhouse that makes your mouth salivate and tummy rumble.
Great video! BUT I must say back when I was on my high school tennis team (over a decade ago) our home courts were at the LA Tennis Club (LATC). Also you forgot two places I think you should have visited. First you missed Rancho Park in west LA which has many nice public courts in a nice part of town. Also I think you should have visited Beverly Hills Tennis because it has a soft place in my heart lol.
This was fun to watch. Although I can assure you that there are easily wayyyyyyy more publicly available tennis courts in LA than this. But you did play on the ones that would typically be recommended.
Vermont Canyon, Riverside and now Echo Park for over 20 years. Playing all year round 3 times a week. No wonder, hardly no rain, no humidity. But you guys have missed the 2 of the best on your list. contact me for the locations
if you live in LA you dont need to commute because you already live there. it's people thaat live in all the other small cities that make up LA county that have to endure an awful commute
Maybe you should re-title your video or have some one from LA show you what’s up. That’s definitely NOT every public court in Los Angeles proper….you missed a ton. But thanks for fooling us.
That finish makes me sick.

It was strictly based on uniqueness of the tennis courts, I would much rather live in LA as a tennis player
@@Winners-Only makes so much sense and totally agree. Keep up the wonderful videos!
As someone who lived in NYC I agree it's such a hassle getting to courts I barely played
I love this video especially as I’m from the UK its nice to see what courts are like in LA I’m surprised that there’s no variety in court surfaces e.g no clay courts or grass courts but the video is still amazing 🤩 10/10 from me 💖

He could’ve played green clay in Burbank, it’s a little pricier though

That's the right coach for you. They understand stand your form and helped you be a better you. Thank them.
Love that the Racket Doc helped save you boys on day two, my favorite tennis shop anywhere

After that first backhand tip the coach gave you, your backhand looked noticeably more normal!
You guys are the coolest, what a trip. Beautiful tour of greater LA.
Playing tennis on beautiful courts, making new friends and improving our game - that's what its all about man!
Shout out to Mike at the LA tennis club for wearing the incrediwear knee brace! A company from a small town in Northern California!....even Djokovic wears it now.
Incediwear For Life 🤣

So good. Glad you got to hit at Vermont Canyon. They were my home courts for a long time. And saw some new ones too. Thanks for the video.

FINALLY a proper lesson on your forehand.

What city will be next ?
Jackson looks like Caspar Ruud
Egregious oversight not hitting up La Cienega Tennis Center. All the more reason to come back out to LA!
This is insane
Are you using a ezone 98 or 100?
Shark costume is savage haha
At first I thought you were going to visit every single court in LA in 72 hours and I thought you were crazy
Is that grey Taango longsleeve going to drop anytime soon?
I'll take NY thanks!
Vermont Canyon, Riverside and now Echo Park for over 20 years. Playing all year round 3 times a week. No wonder, hardly no rain, no humidity. But you guys have missed the 2 of the best on your list. contact me for the locations
Anyone know the song at around 11:30?
Came Up by Skateshop in case someone else is wondering.
You missed the Burbank Tennis Center.
Thanks for staying on the white, I mean, west side of LA and not exposing our east side and valley courts.
And no, Hermon Park is NOT east side.
San Diego next!
gta v type tennis
We in Los Angeles play tennis year round. lol!
🔥🔥🔥
Let’s goooo
There are not enough Public Tennis courts in Los Angeles. Also, Pickleball takes Tennis courts.
Yesss yoga
Very cool. You guys are lucky bastards. I'd love to live in LA but I'm not a gazillionaire. Plus the commuting has got to suck.
if you live in LA you dont need to commute because you already live there. it's people thaat live in all the other small cities that make up LA county that have to endure an awful commute
Non-rich people live in LA, too, we just have roommates.
that last court needs to be demolished because of what they had playing on the courts
Not possible. LOL.
must be nice.
like
We should convert some of these courts to pickleball.
Pickleball on a tennis channel? Unsubscribed!
Maybe you should re-title your video or have some one from LA show you what’s up. That’s definitely NOT every public court in Los Angeles proper….you missed a ton. But thanks for fooling us.
The title is I TRIED playing not I DID play
