I don't care really about the type of racquet since I don't use the middle strings much. I don't use that lead tape stuff. Since I use the Babolat Team Pure Drive. Roddick's Old Racquet. So all my side strings are all bent and stretched, and the bottom strings are stretched but the middle strings are not all stretched and look like new. ....I hit the ball off my side strings and my bottom strings instead of using the middle strings. So it don't matter what racquet is handed to me, I can still drive the ball with it. But because I also use a loose grip tension I have more control over the ball where I want to place it around in the court and where in the court I want to open up the court with more angles without overcooking the ball out of the court.. That is why I don't have every finger down on the grip so I can maintain that loose tension and allow me to rip the ball or place it where I want.. It don't matter what tennis racquet that you have, you can have any racquet handed to you, but any tight tension down on your grip will restrict what you can do with the ball in the court and how much of the court you can open up... That is why I don't like tension on the grip and like to hit with little to no tension so that the swing feels all nice and loose and is not all rigid with tension. And that i don't have to muscle the ball just to get the spin or power. But tight grip tension can cause players to MUSCLE THE BALL to try to drive it instead of hitting the ball effortlessly. He threw away a perfectly good racquet.
@@germansliceHow do you even manage to play consistent tennis when you're never hitting the sweet spot? And the strings around the edges can be a bit more loose wether you hit the ball there or not.
@@tijgertjekonijnwordopgegeten The end of the racquet or the tip swings the fastest through the air, so I drive the ball from off the fastest part of my racquet which is the tip.

Can't believe you had so much weight on the Extreme!! Anyhow, good luck with the new sticks... and nice to see Jake hitting some regular groundies and not pushing - he's been hiding this!!
Head Lynx Tour in orange 1.25. Yonex PolyTourPro in yellow/blue 1.25. Those I can verify being solid choices, the Lynx Tour has some insanely good tensionmaintenance. The Yonex PTP is a bit softer. The Head Lynx Tour is a fairly new string. Three other brand new strings this year that seems to be very solid is Head Hawk Power + Tecnifibre Razor Soft (Medvedev uses this) + Restring Zero. Restring Zero is unavailable for the mortals in Europe, but you guys in US have access to it. That is strings you need to try out over any Luxilon or Wilson string.
Haha. A Becket cameo. Good luck with the new racquet. Looks like it's a better match to you. I understand you reasoning for choosing the 100 version, but I think that eventually you will move to a 98 or 97 head size racquet based on your strokes.
@@Winners-Only The angle of your stroke is more on the "flatter" side, which lends itself for control oriented racquets with a smaller head size. Although these days there are very good 100 sq. in control oriented racquets like the Head Gravity and the Speed (although this one is kind of a hybrid).
If you want that ALU Power feel but with much better arm friendliness and durability, HIGHLY recommend Grapplesnake Tour Sniper. Surprised Beckett didn't mention it considering that's his go-to string lol
Only thing better than a ProStaff is a free (or discounted) ProStaff. Congrats on the partnership. Pretty cool for Wilson team to reach out to you guys.
Trey & Jake! Would love to hit with you guys one day, I’m out in the Houston area! Been playing for a while I haven’t even officially rated but probably a 3.5-4.0 USTA! Would love to meet up one day!
on ur forehand maybe make it more of a looping motion i noticed your takeback is jus kinda straight back and if you make it more of a looping motion it will be a lot smoother.
The extreme mp is fantastic stock. but not for everyone. Was really surprised : extreme mp is 300g + strings 20g + top 8g sides 8g that's 336g to swing. the wilson is going to be heavy too... Let see if there's injury and/or tiredness from the current setup. At least he's sticking to a raquet and not entering the tinkering-mania hahaha
Joker - Head Alcerez - Babolat Medi - techni Rudd - Yonex Tsitspas - who? Rune - Babolat Rubelev - Head Fritz - Head Sinner - Head Wilson is in a bad place.
@@Winners-Only For your sake, you shouldn’t play with poly until they break. They will go dead way before they break, especially if you are using 15 or 16 gauge. Once the poly strings lose their elasticity, all of the shock from hits goes straight to your arm. It’s a very easy way to get tennis elbow. I know this from personal experience.
@@Winners-OnlyAdding weight risks injury and only elite players really need to add weight, but if you don't like the extreme mp moving to a different racquet is definitely the best choice.
@@Winners-Only Fair enough. I though it fit you pretty well tbh - though pretty much all rackets are good now. Important tip tho - if you're going to play poly strings - replace them frequently (like - at least monthly - better yet after every ~8 hours of hitting). @@fuzziepandas I get why ppl would say that. I thought this as well. Started with X-one. The lack of spin compared to solid Poly's is..out of the world. And the Multi was way too powerful for my game. Also he plays so much tennis, why not get used to poly? He should just string poly at 44-48/20-22kg
@@Nessaj87 poly low could be a decent option. if multi is too "powerful" try a hybrid. no way these guys should be playing with alu power with not great form. VERY easy to get hurt that way

Finally Wilson has a serious endorsement. Tsitspas been lacking hard. Maybe people will actually start buying Wilson racquets again.
