Is the formula for variance a special case here? What I learned is f(Mid-mean)^2 but you use f*mid^2-mean^2

The standard deviation formulae is clearly wrong in this video. The final standard deviation is supposed to be £9 610.1
Thank you. The video was very helpful. Any idea how to handle grouped data that contains an end group that does not have the same range as the other groups? For example, age groups for every five years and then the last group is only 2 years.
