I'm an optimist but I’m not an idiot. I know how bad things can get; I have spent many nights at the bottom of the well. Hope isn’t easy for me but it is truly necessary. Hope is a survival technique. Hope is mandatory for getting out of bed some mornings. Hope makes it harder for them to warp you into the worst possible version of yourself.
